If anything, I would expect it to be harder to control at DL than DCA. At DL they had a much clearer recorded warning at the dock, a cast member telling you at the dock, the skull before the first drop, and if people were taking flash pictures, the P.A. came on to tell people. At DL it was no 100% perfect but it was vastly better than at WDW. In light of some people willingness to ruin the attraction for everyone else, I think WDW/DL needs a warning that people taking flash pictures subject on attractions that prohibit it are to having their cameras confiscated and/or ejection from the park. As far as I am concern the people taking the pictures are stealing the time and money from the other guests that have paid to see the attraction. Take a few people off to security for taking flash pictures at the end of the ride and the problem will be solved very quickly. I’m not saying they have to be draconian about it and I would give people some a few “grace†shots for not knowing how to work their cameras (getting the flash to be off). My system would be: 0. A better and clearer recorded warning at the dock and cast member warning 1. One or two flash pictures, it is probably best to let it go. I don’t want guest to live in fear of making a mistake with their equipment. 2. If there are continual pictures, then a P.A. announcement during the ride 3. If the person continues to take pictures, then they are escorted to security at the end of the ride 4. For a first offense, they can spend an hour or two at security having their ID taken and signing a document that if this happens again, they will be band from the parks. 5. If they end up back at security again, then band them from the park. The problem with flash pictures is that they are doing nothing at WDW to enforce it. To many people these days, a rule or law does not exist if you don’t enforce it. As far as I was concerned, WDW management has let WDW become a dump.

I wish at pirates we had signs that actually posted no flash photography. there is a prerecorded spiel that plays constantly at load. Once whle your waiting to board, once while your in the boat and once again as you are dispatched. Only in the load area are we allowed to spiel anymore and only with our voices. There were also complaints when we used to spiel because not everyone speaks english and if cast members assume another language then were in trouble for spieling that. I hope all of you voice your opinions to Disney so things can get fixed about flash pictures. Pirates is way worse than the Haunted Mansion. I am sorry for all of your anger about this topic and I hope that Disney can start to do something about it.

Heck, when you use a flash your ruining the lighting / effects and get pale stuff. Perhaps they need to have some safety announcements in the queue (even though people wont listen)... it would at least attempt to help with the problem.

The Pirates attraction was out of control and the cast member did nothing to stop it. "> First off, there is a spiel when you board Pirates that says no flash photography. I do agree that it is more than irritating to have constant flashes going off on Pirates. But think of this: How do you honestly expect a cast member to stop it? They don't have random cast members camping out in scenes from the ride to stop things like this. They do, however, have cameras monitoring the ride. But therein lies another problem because they would have to use a PA system to tell people to knock it off with the flash photography. This may sound appealing, but think about it....with huge numbers of people taking flash pictures on this ride, there would have to be a CM announcing over a PA system every 2 minutes or so to stop. So, would you rather have flash photography, or a CM constantly spieling? Personally I'd rather have the flash. At least I'm still seeing everything and the sound isnt being interrupted. Bottom line: People are stupid. You can scream "NO FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY!!" in their face all you want but they'll still do it. And the cast can only do so much with these people. You're asking something that they cannot do. There is no way a CM can go charging in like Gallahad just to stop flash pictures without suffering dire consequences. They have more important things to do like, oh, i dont know, operate a ride filled with upwards of a hundred people at a time?
