Heck, Broward County had to adopt a very stringent ethics ordinance last year as a result of illegal conduct of elected officials. (Ironically, the impetus came from the actions of three Democrats charged with money laundering but party is irrelevant as plenty of Republicans have been mired in controversy too.) Yes, this State needs to address these issues but it will take a bipartisan effort to do so (sound familiar) and the type of behavior skinner exhibited toward me isn't the type of kum ba ya moment that is needed.

I would simply say she is guilty of the very behavior she condemns Republicans for. As a husband and a father of a young daughter it is disheartening that I would be somehow compared to those who condone rape simply for my opinions on what is happening in politics but I can assure you all I won't be losing any sleep over it. I just passed a kidney stone yesterday so I've dealt with far worse pain this week.

That was enough for several lifetimes. I know firsthand how screwed up the state has been forever. Voter suppression is very real in Florida. That's why there are 'special rules' regarding elections in FL that they have to follow, per the Voting Rights Act. Florida has mistreated minority voters as long as Jim Crow has been around, and the only time it's ever changed has been when the Feds step in and tell them to shape up. As for felons not voting in Florida... that's a big problem right there, since the majority of convicted felons in the state are not white. That's a very simple way to keep Jim Crow alive. Three other states have this arcane restriction on their books as well (IA, VA, KY). Sorry, but I don't agree with your position on that either, wahoo. Once someone has done their time and paid their debt to society, at minimum, they should be able to vote. Losing that basic right for the rest of your life, no matter what kind of crime was committed (not all felonies result in violence, such as tax evasion) is wrong. It's akin to giving someone a life sentence for stealing a candy bar from the corner store. The fact that only four states permanently prevent felons from voting is very telling. If it's such a good idea, then why aren't more states on board? For me, it's just another way to disenfranchise citizens who don't 'measure up.'

Sarah Palin is a b*tch and folks still listen to her. And she's got millions in the bank now, that she didn't have while living in Alaska attempting to look competent in government. Whoa, Nellie! Sign me up for that gig! It's not the blonds that have all the fun. It's the b*tches.

I wish someone would b*tchslap the crew at CNBC. The market has been in free fall since just before the election, even though European markets are now stabilizing. These so-called experts exert too much influence on the investors and daytraders, who are in a selling frenzy because of the Obama victory. I'm telling you right now. The crazy conservatives are going to double down on their double down, and deliberately drive our economy off the cliff, to make Obama look bad. The millionaires and billionaires have already amassed so much wealth, they don't need to stabilize the economy, moving forward. Putting America into a death spiral won't hurt them one iota. They can always pack up and move to Switzerland, where their money has been residing for decades. And I firmly believe they would do it, just as a spoiled eight-year-old would destroy a bike he took from the neighborhood kid, only to smash it with his baseball bat when caught red-handed, so the other kid wouldn't get to ride it, either. These d-bags are so obsessed with power and conservative principals, they would do anything. And no, I'm not drinking the crazy kool-aid. These guys are freakin nuts and very p*ssed off. This election clearly demonstrated that, as we watch Karl Rove literally disintegrate before our very eyes. I'm now more afraid of these guys than I was before the election.
