They compare Disney not with other forms of entertainment but with the Disney of the past. Disney has always represented for many of us the pinnacle of our vacation entertainment and none of us want to see those standards diminished by a company whose focus changes from creating the greatest guest experience to one of trying minimize the guest experience as far as possible while still maintaining the same or higher price points. No one wants less for more. We will all continue to attend the parks because we still love them, but sometimes it is necessary to point out their failings in the hopes that it will somehow prevent further degredation of a wonderful product.
