And since I've spent considerable time in Disney resorts in Anaheim, Paris and Hong Kong over the past five years I can say it's not Disney as a whole. It's WDW. And while I could go point by point with you, I've done that before with you and others ... read my first posts on this thread. Staleness doesn't just refer to attractions, although I feel WDW needs a whole lot more of them and of a higher quality than much of the crap of the past decade. But ultimately, you think WDW is as fresh as a mountain dew at sunrise or a feminine hygiene product commercial and that's your opinion. I don't agree ... <<Oh, I know. I'm not sophisticated like Spirit and some of the others here.>> I believe that! <<But I'll give you a little secret. There are a whole lot more folks like me that go to WDW than there are like Spirit.>> There's no one like me that goes to WDW. I'm a unique Spirit. None quite like me out there. And I am sure there are far more far less discerning visitors to WDW than people such as myself. <<As long as they keep the Trippy's happy they'll do OK.>> That's what worries me. WalMart shoppers ... they love the MK just the way it is tonight!

They may be quality, but they aren't fresh. Two of the others are clones from DL/DCA, one of which has been around for almost eight years now. Everest is the closest thing to a major addition (didn't replace anything) that also is loaded with quality (although the fact that on any given day it can operate with 3/4ers of its effects not operational does give me pause about handing out too much credit). And Mission Space has been a collasal failure ... and that's not by my standards (although I have major issues with it), that's by Disney's own internal metrics. <<I think some of the additions hurt Disney's rep for quality entertainment. These being everything in Chester and Hester's, MILF, and SGE.>> Agreed. Crap all around. And you can toss in Imagination 3.0 with them. <<Right now, EPCOT is the least stale of he parks.>> I'd disagree. DAK is freshest followed by Epcot ... the other two ... fuhgetaboutit. <<Kudos to Disney for the additions and tweeks. DHS is also getting some much needed attention. And the MK is STALE beyond belief. And I will eat my hat if they don't turn their attention on the MK next. Because they KNOW MK is stale. >> They know it. But they are too cheap, too conservative and too afraid to do anything. That's why a proposed $300 million redo of Fantasyland with tHREE new attractions sits and languishes ... and that's why Space Mountain's redo was cut from 18 months to six months and now is likely just a cleaning with some track replacement and, perhaps, a few new effects. The MK (Mansion redo aside) is incredibly stale overall in every aspect from attractions to shopping to parades and live entertainment to dining.

To me, it is the LEAN SIX SIGMA erosion of service, cleanliness and maintanance that really hurts. But I am afraid, WDW is very stale compared to all the other resorts. You guys really need to break out of the bubble.

That makes no sense at all. Disneyworld has always been a collection of attractions ranging from very minor and simple to major and complex. When WDW was still using Ticket Books in 1973 there were 6 A, 5 B, 5 C, 6 D, and 6 E tickets. That totals to more than twice as many A, B, and C tickets combined as D and E tickets combined. As WDW continues to develop I expect that there will continue to be a range from A (Pooh Playground) to E (Expedition Everest) attractions. Why would you expect anything else? As it was in the beginning. Is now and ever shall be. DisneyWorld without end. Amen... Amen.

That being said, back in the old days, we'd go to MK around 4-5 in the afternoon, when many folks were leaving. You wouldn't believe how many people coming off the ferryboat handed their unused tickets to my kids as we waited to get on. Disney was making you buy a book of tickets knowing that many of the A B & C wouldn't be used.

I don't expect every attraction to be a $150-200 million blockbuster. But I do expect quality across the board. 'A' and 'B' Tix weren't categorized that because they were crap. Too many current offerings are. And many of them would be considered 'D' and 'E' Tix today. <<As WDW continues to develop I expect that there will continue to be a range from A (Pooh Playground) to E (Expedition Everest) attractions. Why would you expect anything else? >> No. The McPoohplayland wouldn't have ever qualified for any letter status because it never would have been built in any other era except this WalMart one. There's simply no excuse for such crap at Disney's flagship theme park.

I have no desire to be encouraging. She's a big girl and can post or not post and I can respond however I choose. I really wanted to get along with her, but she has told me quite publically what she thinks of me and another poster who's a friend of mine and someone I greatly respect and admire, so ... yeah, I think I responded exactly the way I wanted.
