I wonder how concerned Rush was about Europe laughing at us during the whole Lewinsky saga.

As mentioned before, the AP also mislabeled Foley. <a href="http://www.mediainfo.com/eandp/news/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1003221594" target="_blank">http://www.mediainfo.com/eandp /news/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1003221594</a> Anyone here going to rush in and proclaim the AP a mouthpiece of the GOP? What we have here is sloppy journalism, combined (in Fox's case) with a rapid news cycle that allows errors to pop up and even persist. But errors do get corrected. If anyone over at Fox was still claiming Foley was a Dem-- then there'd be room to give this more than a passing glance.

The lack of journalistic competence, coupled with small staff, and a general lack of ability to use the English language appears in print, television and on radio. How many signs do you pass that nothing is spelled correctly. I can't tell you how many city names are spelled wrong on weather maps on TV. Many newpapers have become 'challenges' for proof readers. Anything that cannot be caught by spellcheck goes, and is some cases I do not believe spell check is used. Is it 'possible' some air headed intern decided it would be funny and did it, sure. But my guess is more likely causes by incompetence than any political subterfuge.
