Pat Buchanan regular appears on Olbermann. Last I checked he was most definitely a conservative. I'm guessing you don't watch Olbermann enough to know he has other conservatives on there too. They are a minority, but they're there.

No, no, no, he does watch Olbermann because he said Olbermann is the "most bias" (sic) guy out there. Why would he say that if he didn't know what he was talking about?

Also, MSNBC does have opposing views, but it unprecedented to have an entire program devoted to the Democratic party without any opposing view.

dshyates, FOX has the opposing viewpoint to almost every single arguement.

It has both liberals and conservatives on every night, and unlike MSNBC, on every show.

I am realy enjoying, when I go to liberal blog sites these days, how Hillary supporters are finally experiencing the one sided bias that conservatives experience every year.

Many of them have turned to FOX news and feel it is the only balanced cable news network.

I happen to believe that CNN has stayed fairly neutral between Obama and Clinton, but they wont maintain that neutrality once one of them faces McCAIN.

SingleParkPassholder, why the need to actually make fun of me?

Oh well, if it makes you feel better, have at it.

The easiest way for them to reconcile their support in the face of all the overwhelming evidence against the bush administration is to blame the messenger. It must be the fault of the media's liberal bias, and they're just out to "get" the poor guy.

In this way, all of the facts at hand can be easily dismissed. To make it even easier, here's a "news channel" that will shape the stories and commentary to perpetuate the myths.

The alternative is to open yourself to the possibility that this government really is datamining our communications, authorizing systematic torture, corrupting the justice department, and turning the department of defense into a floodgate of taxpayer dollars to hand-picked corporations.

    It could happen.

This from the guy who volunteered:

"I think many of you have been SOOOOO spoiled by constanttly being reaffirmed of your views by 95% of the mainstream media that you absolutely can't handle FOX news.

It's like you have become spoiled brats."

    This says a lot.

The news media these days is a joke. An absolute joke.

And this goes for the left AND the right.

Where is the real journalism that used to matter so much?

I suppose we brought this on ourselves.

The major corporations bought it and are storing it in a safe for safekeeping.

As a journalist, i find this trend disturbing and disgusting. I refuse to watch the opinion shows in general, because I know they feed tainted info. Keith, Glenn, And Bill are in the same book to me as all they do is stroke the party faithful. I have recently gotten Sirius and expanded cable line up and i watch and listen to the BBC as much as the American media outlets. It is astounding what doesn't make it into the American media because they are too busy showing us over and over again that Brittney didn't wear panties last night. While nuclear powers like Pakistan are tumbling towards civil war.

I am NO fan of Clinton but kudos to her for agreeing to sit down with Riley. That took some golf balls.

Then your "regular basis" must not be that often.

And gad, good points in #71.

Gone from the tv. The tv news stations aren't about "news" anymore - they're about entertainment. They have to compete with the 200 other channels for people's attention - and the only way to do that is to add all these "opinion" shows that entertain more than inform.

Like everything else in America, the news channels are run by corporations that only care about the bottom line, so money making takes precedent over legitamate news.

That's because they aren't spoon fed information about it. It's easy to go with the crowd and complain about Fox News, because every body does it. But why on earth would you think for yourself, when somebody else has already done all the thinking for you? That's just not a logical use of your precious time. Many would rather sponsor events for people to trade in plastic bags for canvas ones that they'll loose in a week.
