    Ours was just like this. Sadly, the vast majority of Capris were lemons; as was ours. After two engines (and rebuilding the 2nd) and the 3rd transmission
    in 10 years I put my foot down and declared, "Not one more penny into that car!!) Many wives were having to do the same in the mid-80's.
    It was a blast to drive though.
