I don't think they are making up the World wide financial crisis. A barrel of oil is selling for less than a third of what it was 2 months ago. I won't even get into folks 401. Yes it is confusing when sales nation wide in retail are only down by 2%. You would think it has been cut in half by the way some folks carry on. Definetly some areas of the Country are much more impacted then others. I am certain that our economy will recover, and I am certain that we are in tough economic times as a Nation now. One other thing I am certain about is I can take a WDW vacation now, and save about 40%. I've never heard of that big of a discount before. There has to be a reason behind it.

Some might not need "deals" as an incentive. For this reason I would expect fewer deals at the Deluxe resorts.

If January occupancy rates are as bad as reported, they don't seem to be cutting prices to compensate.
