So? If person A insults person B here because they (gasp!) disagree on some Disney matter or other, that says more about person A than person B. Whether it's fanboi or apologist or whatever. To paraphrase what I said before, no one can make you feel demeaned without your permission.

Fine in theory, different in practice.

I actually have more to say on that subject, but I can see a can of worms on the horizon, so I'm backing away slowly!!!

I understand that very well Dabob, as I've already tried to convey earlier.

We can let some rattle their "trollish" cages, and say everything in the book .. and we can deflect it off into the direction of the Andromeda Galaxy, indefinitely.

So, in the meantime it's aloud to run amok for too long. So, at what point do you say something?

I prefer to get it over with now, rather than let it get carried away.

    Uh huh.

And I remember clearly raising my hand and asking "can I go to the lav?".

BTW, K2M I was wondering if I could borrow your walker next week? I mean, if you're not using it (you're usually just sleeping and napping anyway right?), mine is in the shop.

And OCDean, get the hell off my lawn you young push button dialer you!

There is this aspect as well, definitely. I can see how the term's use can be intended as to be dismissive.

There was an attempt some time ago to label people who didn't totally hate DCA as "DOMs" -- Defenders of Mediocrity I think it was. So these sorts of different ways to dismiss the viewpoints of whole groups happens again and again.

By definition, a troll WANTS you to say something.

There is nothing to get over, the only reason it's getting carried away is because we're having this thread.

Disney Apologist could also use a little work. The straight spelling really isn't quite degrading enough. Perhaps Dizzy Applegist would better convey the hopeless confusion of apologists like me.

In other words, you're just a geek on a few Disney boards, I'VE had lunch with so and so (when in reality they likely just bussed his table). That might be sort of what ocdean is getting at.

And I hear people use the term "Liberal" used all the time like they are Nazi's that doesn't make it so.

Just because the minority of people use something as "hateful" doesn't make it so. Are people really this insecure about being called a name on the internet?

Let me break this down again. It's the internet. That's what happens.

Totally lost without AOL.(it was just so EASY) Can't find half the sites I used to visit.

But here I find, in the first thread I read!, OCDean's being 'OCD' about something seemingly trivial, being alternately egged-on and picked-on by many of the "same old suspects":
    u k fan,
    dabob,
    2oonie,
    MR X,
    Jim,
    digDUG,
    LABUDA,
and even a rare sitting of the elusive SasqSCHMITT!
Started to feel like old times already. And then I found out that my old LP name's still in the system & now that I've hijacked somebody else's topic I feel like I've COME HOME!! Somebody come give daddy a smooch!

I thought that WAS the accepted pronunciation.

And you can do it all you want but "Foamers" if the Rogaine hasn't worked by now...
