Therein lies the whole problem. It's all just a bunch of people's opinions mixed in with movie politics.

They need to figure out some way to make "Elsa gets angry, waves her hands, and scary ice shards crop up everywhere" thing look impressive and not cheesy. It's so integral to the plot and it happens numerous times, so they all should be different. Doable in animation, obviously; tougher on stage.

Yeah. Like they did the "Jafar turns into a dragon" thing.

Strangely enough, the top critics on RT easily rate Frozen over The Wind Rises... and that was when Miyazaki was actually retiring.

Can't judge for myself until I get a chance to see it.

    Disney's next "Princess-Pirates-Pixies" phenomenon.

Right now ... it's special. And having it appear in one daily format of some kind would be nice.

But when the stage show is proceeded or preceded with a part in WoC, AND part of the Fireworks show, AND meet & greets, AND parades, AND an overly to an existing ride, AND part of the Disney character raid on IASW, AND a themed restaurant, AND character breakfasts, AND character lunches, AND character dinners (Lets not forget spin-off home videos, and sequel*S*, Xbox games, etc) .... then it just becomes way overly repetitious - and just get sick of it.

For now though .... I loved the movie, wouldn't mind seeing it again, and would like to see how it works as a stage show .. BUT THAT'S IT!

It will be interesting to see how the snow/ice effects translate to the stage; I sure hope it looks better than the falling rocks in the Cave of Wonders during the DCA stage show

It will also be interesting to see how they handle Olaf. I can't imagine they would want to cut him from the show, but I can't think of a way that he would translate well to live theater. They got rid of Abu from Aladdin (if you can nix one lovable sidekick, why not another), so it's possible he'd be removed too (though his song will likely save him). Although a nice tie-in/throwback to the earlier scenes, and some comedic relief, he's really not essential to the plot. I'm also assuming the reindeer won't make it into the show in any form; the trolls could be interesting as well

I completely agree with this sentiment. The Little Mermaid currently suffers from it the worst, but others also have the same issue (Mary Poppins, Aladdin, Pooh, Lion King, etc). Most of them are actually good films, but they're just so overexposed and overhyped that there's nothing remotely special about them

(That's what my sisters do when it comes to Sports because that's what we think is over-hyped so we just ignore it all and don't let it ruin our days.)

Disney has acquired so many properties of late - They'll probably exploit them more, rather than over-milk just ONE property.

And good luck trying to ignore oversaturated brands like the Princesses, Cars, Pooh, or Mermaid (and even Mickey!). Try as you might, there's really no other option in many cases
