Yeah, but that's only if you can manage to get the attention of the idiot on his cell phone! Half the time they are completely oblivious to anyone else in their general vicinity!

I go to the table super loud and only talk to the people NOT on the phone, therefore the phone person will get no beverage because well, I can't stand there all day. Those of you who have been to my restaurant, especially last Sunday for the meet can understand my lack of patience for cell phones in restaurants. Once you've ordered? Talk away!! But until then, GET OFF THE PHONE!!!!! That is my waitress point of view. Not my dining point of view.

She was on her cell phone, chatting away oblivious not only to her children but to everyone else around her.

What's your 'dining' take on it? The one thing I did notice about our waiter was that once I asked him if they had "cell phone bouncers" and gave him a wink, he pretty much gave them the bum's rush. Everything they ordered came and went quickly and boom - the check. EdisYoda... That's when I would push my cart up against hers and shout, "EXCUSE ME!"

I am not loud either 99.9% of the time people dont even know Im on my phone, except when they see the wires coming out of my head. I think it all boils down to the type of person who is using the phone, thier manners, etc. Don't just throw everyone who talks alot into the same kettle of fish. I agree there are certain places cell phones should be turned off, fancy resturant, movie theatre, Library. It's just a sign of the times. /steps off her soap box. P.s. That was hilarious what ya said though alice. Something I would have said.

No judgements from me but I could never do it. When my phone rings when I am checking out or eating I check to make sure it is not an emergency. Other than that I know I can call them back.
