And who cares anyway since the imagineers STUPIDLY have us pass by so quickly that we can't even appreciate Yeti's sheer stature, strength and disposition. All we get is a glimpse of the star of the show! Sometimes these imgineers should be slapped silly for their stupidity. Now, the mountain from inside the park looks awesome and the attraction does have a tantalizing backstory and queue.

Lost River already has a towering, terribly imposing structure to anchor that land..... the Indiana Jones El Castillo looking temple..... and another formidable, iconic structure would distract the guest if positioned in the same area and trivialize eachother. Themepark designers ideally want focal points/icons(TOT's, Mt.Prometheus, Matterhorns, Space Mountains, Everests, Tree of Lifes, castles, Grizzly Peaks) spread out to balance the park thus maximizing guest wonderment and appreciation.

Putting up something the scale of a mighty Everest next to the iconic El Castillo makes little sense.

I mean this is the group that can't even take a simple concept like updating the Tiki Room to include Stitch without ruining the attraction completely. As for Expedition Everest coming to DisneySea I certainly hope not. Now don't get me wrong I love Expedition Everest and despite the Yeti being broken, its still a fantastic attraction at Animal Kingdom, but as a Disney theme park fan who loves creative story telling I feel Everest story is to similar to Journey to the Centre of the Earth where your on a journey and come face to face with a monster and need to escape. Actually thinking about it Everest does hold something over Journey where the build up to the Yeti is done perfectly, while the Lava Monster kind of just appears out of no where, although you do get a few seconds longer to admire the work that went into creating the Lava Monster AA, plus the show scenes are beautiful. Anyway to sum it up both attractions are outstanding and are evident that despite a few screw ups from the Imagineers, both are key attractions at they respected parks. But I wouldn't want to see it fit into TDS anytime soon, or else I soon will have no reason to ever want to visit WDW again!!

The entire premise of the "Forbidden Mountain" tour is to hopefully glance the legendary creature. In Journey to the Center of the Earth, we are not supposed to encounter the dangerous magma worm. The storyline revolves around a peaceful and slow-paced tour though well-documented areas of the caverns. This is why we see little evidence of the upcoming magma worm in the queue or other areas of the attraction. The exhibits in the queue showcases the creatures' eggs and remains, but as it is, none of the crew have really discovered an actual living specimen yet. This is why the gargantuan creature is such a surprise in the actual attraction when the vehicles are knocked off course and steer past the bulbous egg sacs of the creature hanging off the cave walls.

I think the Grizzly Mountain attraction going to Hong Kong will deliver in this regard, as it is full of nice (albeit cartoonish) sets and AAs. It might lack the realism and detail of EE in the storyline, but the show scenes look much more impressive (especially the dynamite mine launch).
