    I completely disagree. Imagineers grossly dropped the ball on the climactic portion of Splash Mountain. That attraction has lavish sets, is very long and treats the guest to sheer family fun injected with two solid non threatening thrills. But the execution of the buildup, crest and climax is about as inappropriate as when one is ready to climax with his/her partner and some landlord comes banging on the door wanting her rent check.

    I just don't see it that way and I think you are very off.
    In the days of 50's Matterhorn and 70's Space Mountain I would agree with you but coasters can now launch from a standstill like a dragster and then crawl like a snail or stop only to relaunch **UP A STEEP INCLINE** at the whim of a designer...........

    ............ride Universal's Revenge of Mummy and you will see and feel first hand how much a coaster designer can manipulate accelerations/decelerations and speed.

    We got gypped on EE; I wish we were manipulated more on that track.
