While I have spent Christmas Day in a place where it snows (Ann Arbor, MI) that year it didn't snow there.

Pixie! You Glitters should do a layover in Louisville and then we can all go out to dinner!

(and toast to it *not* being a "Wonderful Life"!)

I can't believe Lil PLitter doesn't like "It's a Wonderful Life" or eggnog!! I admit, I don't like homemade eggnog, I am NOT going to drink raw egg, but I love a nice thick creamy eggnog spiked with a little Godiva chocolate liquer.

As for "It's A Wonderful Life", how could you not like it? We went and saw the play this year put on by the local theater and we just watched the movie the other night too. I love love love that movie. George Bailey was a great character. You better watch it again Glitter.

Hey, what is nog and why is it always egg? Can a nog be made from some other grocery item? Cheese nog? Lettuce nog?
    A point to ponder.

I love fruitcake. If any of you can purchase Claxton's Fruit Cake in your stores, try it. It is delicious. I love fruit cake soaked in bourbon or rum. I also love mincemeat soaked in bourbon or rum.
I love rum balls or bourbon balls.

Ok, I see where this is going. Funny thing is, I don't normally drink anything. But I sure do love the good stuff at Christmas!!!

Well, I do love Cream Sherry and Plum Wine.

Going back for more (got a party to attend soon).

I also like eggnog lattes and eggnog flavored cream puffs (tried those at Costco the other week and they were good!)

btw: the Yule log is a tradition going back centuries in Europe. It's lit on Christmas Eve. The edible kind is a delicious fruit and chocolate pastry that is like a jelly or cream rolled cake with choco frosting covering it. Various recepies abound and are good for parties. =)

Never baked a yule log either...although I always say "this will be the year!".

I cannot drink store-bought eggnog but love homemade. (You can make a custard eggnog at home. The eggs will be cooked and it will still taste better than the stuff from the store that is packed w/preservatives and creepy thickening agents.)

    Never ridden in a sleigh.
Never been kissed by anyone under the mistletoe (no jokes please).

I have roasted chestnuts on an open fire though. (I have a special pan for it!)
