Heck, I've ever reported MYSELF to mod in the past and asked for something to be deleted if I realize I attacked another person. Just treat others as you'd like to be treated - that's something ALL of us need to keep in mind here. LP is one big fmaily of folks who love Disney. We need to learn to be a good family and try to get along isntead of attacking others.

That was no attack in the truest sense. No threats were made. No profanity used. You were not involved. If there was an issue, HE would have reported it.

Once again....I'll apologize to you but....I think your buddie needs to express himself in a manner that does not arouse that type of response.

ORWEN: I say let by-gones be by-gones. Give TDLFAN the freedom to express himself and he'll do the same for you--we promise!!

Maybe he doesn't see it, But his words are poorly chosen. his words & demeanor are bound to arouse conflict. Maybe I'll just ignore him, and let him rant. In any event, WDW is the greatest thing I ever experienced in my life. I'll be there for halloween.

You love WDW above all things and that is great and also just your personal opinion. Everyone, including TDLFAN has the right to disagree with it but you seem to have a vendetta to eliminate anything that doesn't agree with your opinion.

Granted TDLFAN is tough to ignore and he is sometimes over the top in his critical eye concerning WDW but we all basically know what he is trying to say and why. So I suggest that you just post what you want and be prepared to have someone disagree with you because we all see the world and, in this case, WDW from a different angle.

Do continue to post the positives, as you see them, because to some extent we all have mostly positive thoughts about it but these are discussion boards and we should not expect that all will agree on everything.

Okay, I have read this twice now -- and I guess one assumes you are the only one with experience in public or the business world. I have been in management for longer than you claim to be involved in the public -- and do so for a very large organziation - and therefore have to deal with thousands of customer and thousands of employees over the years

Youare obviously irked by TDLFAN ( and I am not a TDLFAN apologist as he certainly doesn't need one) - nor do I agree with his every post - but then we choose to debate, as he and I have done with civility over the past few years.

You seem to feel thay you have been appointed the new sheriff in town and every thread has become a discussion on TDLFAN's attitude. If that is how you deal with issue with the public, then I question the success. You don't address a probem you have with a scattergun, and drag everyone else on these boards into your personal vendetta. That is not the way to solve conflict....I teach grad school management also and have insight from that perspective...

If you have a problem with TDLFAN ( or me or anyone else)- and feel they are over stepping their bounds, report it to the moderator who owns these boards. You or I or TDLFAN or anyone else do not own these boards and do not set the rules. I for one am tired of reading this on 9 different threads.....

It is not TDLFAN 's friends only who have come to his support - but also those who choose not to be censored without a valid reason for doing so. And saying things like " this is nothing compared to personal attacks on Yahoo boards" -- so what ? No one wants them to be and yet we seem headed in that direction. Many frequent posters have been very silent in the last few days, probably because they don;t want to get involved, or maybe because they are bored by the turn these topics have taken.

If you have a point to make about TDLFAN - or to keep it less personal, those who choose not to see the 100% perfect WDW yo do--open a thread -- but stop hijacking every other one to make your point. It is tiresome.

you can question what you like but I can pretty much guarantee you my success as a manager..on anyones level of standards. I am not where I am because I knew someone, I sit on 3 college advisory boards because of what I know, not who I know. I am a hands on executive who has worked his way through the ranks and recognizes someone who places confrontation above content.
Your confrontational attitude is causing the issue here ( exactly what you are calling out with TDLFAN ) but you can't see the forest for the trees. And you have chosen to try and drag anyone who defends TDLFAN's right to speech into the fray also.

To answer you question: I would not allow any of my employees to talk down to anyone, but would address that with the employee, not try and divide and conquer by lining up people on both sides of the issue in an attempt to force your point of view. That is not management, it is a gang mentality. The reason most people are not responding to you is that they are ignoring you. A manager who acts with the transparency that you exhibit by using any response for an alterior motive, will eventually also be ignored.

So before you question my skills as a manager look into the mirror and review how you are going about this. Everyone on these boards does not care about your personal vendetta to right what you think is wrong. If you have something to say about a topic, express it, all opinions are welcomed. If you have something to say to any one person in particular -- send them an email..or state it once, not on every darn thread here. People post threads because they want opinions/answers to questions/concerns, not to do an introspective study of any one posters writing style.

Stop trying to defend everyone, I didn;t see an election for that position. People can defend themselves if they are offended by someones posts, they don't need an overseer for that.

I am done with this as I too don't want to bore everyone with this...but I also don't want this section to be permanently hijacked for one person's opinion. The section is WDW General, not TDLFAN, so let's return to talking about WDW not any one particular person please !
