But Gay Days isn't a private party (although they might have some..) As far as i'm aware, its just a regular day at the park open to all visitors (with an extra large percent of them being gay).

<<Yes, but very similar when it comes to reflecting on one's fight for equality, unity, self-pride and acceptance of others. I think there are far more human similarities than differences.>>

Right...so be equal, visit the park like everyone else, enjoy yourself, and don't feel you need a special day.

lol ! yes .. and the shirt that says:

" I like my boyfriend .. but I LOVE Mickey"

I wish the "Wicked Queen " shirts came in Men's style. I know THAT would sell :)

I have been two years in a row and plan on attending each year.

This past year, I was very touched at the rainbow kites flown in the EPCOT lagoon during the day. It was a nice subtle way to acknowlege the event with being "official" about it.

I recommend the BEACH BALL and MGM parties. What a BLAST !!!!!!!

Bravo you got both of the moldy oldie’s in one shot but the insinuation I’m gay but depressed because every gay man doesn’t want to have sex with me is inane. It is disrespectful to push your sexually on other people and their children. The shirt’s worn in DL were a little bit more suggestive then what was posted here.

That is absurd and insulting to lump yourself in with the plight of black Americans! This isn’t Selma circa 1962 and I haven’t seen the footage of fire hoses and dog’s.

You could pretty much say that about any special group gathering or function.

Gosh, do you say that to people at Disneyworld who go on Support the Troops Day, or Cancer survivor day... to Christians on Joy day. " Don't feel you need a special day"...It just sounds so poo pooey on any groups decision to be there.

By the way, I'm straight raised in a Christian household and I'll say that gays definitely get a bad rap from a majority of the heterosexual religious world I see. It took me a while to get past the stereotypical images of gay. But thank god I got over it and I can be honest about it...and hopefully help others to be a little more open minded.

People including myself tend to see what validates our feelings of discomfort of people we don't understand. That is why it's hard for us to get past the red t-shirts, or two boys kissing on the couch. Then we act like we have no problem with it.

These events wouldn't/don't exclude huge portions of the population. Everyone can participate and the events are staged for everyone to enjoy. Like I said, if they want to have “Gay Day’s†then be my guests…I just don’t think it’s really necessary.

What really amazed me was that not only did the conference attendees have free run of the park, they could also order food and beverage at no cost from the many vendor locations that stayed open for the event.

And furthermore, patrickegan, you have already shown your ignorance on the matter with this statement: "This isn’t Selma circa 1962 and I haven’t seen the footage of fire hoses and dog’s." If you think thats true, do yourself a favor and google anything on the StoneWall Inn in Chelsea NY and the modern gay movement and enlighten your brain as to just what went on to unite gays and lesbians world wide.

You may not like what gays do in the bedroom but at least you'll find out that its NOT just about sex.

Patrickegan. I understand you think that being gay is wrong. I get that already. Sex=bad, gay=sex, gay=bad
    Got it.

    Neither does Gay Days.

I'm fairly certain that the turnstile CMs don't ask guests to "prove it" before allowing them in the Parks.

RT - I have been to some of those SW conferences in Orlando -- and they do treat you right so to speak. Took my family with a number of years ago and they were comp'd also.

Anywho- That’s not what I’m saying at all! I don’t think being gay is bad and just as I am opposed to pushing sexuality on people and their families I am equally opposed to a bunch of Christians protesting at say the Southern decadence festival with their children.

I wasn't going to touch this topic with a ten foot pole....till I saw this statement.

This is totally untrue. Just because someone differs with the lifestyle of another means there is hatred or ignorance. It's merely a right to ones own opinions. To supress those rights are the true ignorance.

With this said, I wonder if there are heterosexual gay people.
