I don't remember Dennis dancing with the porn stars.. but just attending the show if I recall well... and it was a fun show too, wasn't it dennis?? And yes, G-Fan *did* have a lot of fun dancing with the porn star, and I was jealous I wasn't picked to dance too. Go figure. >>...they are more dignified.<< Yeah.. those "dignified" people are the ones who still live in the closet, forced by the likes of you and your mentality and living the sad life of being closeted to please you. Well not me, Dennis and many others. You are a hypocrit missy. If you truly detest our GOD GIVEN gay lives, then WTF are you doing in this topic in the first place? NO ONE needs your **** here. Go join the baptist church ladies who love to touch and dance with the chippendale guys every weekend at their local theater club after church services. "Dignified" my arse! You all have your skelletons in the closet too.

We all need to have a fun GAY DAYS meet next year. By the way ... I am getting involved with a mentor program in the New Haven area called TRUE COLORS. The program is in place to help kids in state facilities. They are active in Hartford and need mentors for the New Haven area. I was really happy to read that you and the Mister enjoyed such a wonderful vacation. (Though I'm not a bit surprised, of course.) Your travelogue also gives a really nice impression of what it's like to "do" the whole Gay Days thang in Orlando. On one hand, I kind of don't "get" vacationing in the way you did it. I mean, why travel to Orlando to spend your time dancing with twinks, seeing drag shows, and watching other performances when all that stuff is undoubtedly available much closer to you? and when THE PARKS are right there begging to be visited! I liken it to going on a cruise and opting to stay at the onboard pool whenever the ship stops at an island. Seems a waste. Why bother leaving the country if you're not going to see the sights? They have pools at home. On the OTHER hand, I can appreciate how wonderful it can be to combine two passions on one vacation. And you clearly found a balance that worked well for you. So... good for you! It's great to read your observations and thoughts on the newest additions to the Parks, too. I really value your comments on Disney's efforts. NEMO SHOW Your review makes me want to visit WDW more than any of the reviews for EE or other new additions! Glad you enjoyed it so much! NEMO RIDE Another positive review from you. That's a good sign for the attraction. SPACESHIP EARTH How nice to read your enthusiasm on this! Another "YAY" to Disney. LAUGH FLOOR I'm getting the impression that this one is pretty much a matter of personal taste. I mean, some people like comedy clubs, some don't get much out of them. Same for this attraction, I'm thinkin'. Glad you liked it. I don't think I would. (I found "Turtle Talk" to be a big snoozefest -- but was happy for those around me who enjoyed it, and didn't think that Disney had built something "bad" just because it isn't my cup of tea.) <<I know the arguments of dumbing-down the TOMORROWLAND concept with characters but I like the show. It is better than an empty building.>> Oh, man, that's sad. The MK has been so lame for so long that now even dennis-in-ct has no standards for theming? "Anything" is now an acceptable substitute for thematic cohesion? Wow. Talk about your eroded expectations, I guess. GAY DAYS <<Again had a blast. The city was welcoming. All the cast members were top notch. The other guests (not there for GAY DAYS) were fine. I did not hear anyone complaining this year.>> How cool. You know, things really have changed in our lifetimes. Heck, things have changed in the last five years! I'm optomistic. So this thread drew the ire of one "get outta my face" poster. Big whoop. There's always going to be a bunch of "Carrie's mother"-type people out there. That one would post here is perfectly predictable. But did you notice what else happened? I mean, DIDN'T happen this year? Carrie's mom was the only one to come on with her uninformed rant. In very recent previous years, there were flamers all over LP whenever Gay Days came up. Things is changing. <<You would think the people are all buff bods and snobs and doped-out but on the contrary it is a very unpretentious good wholesome event.>> I was really happy to read that Beach Ball was as "normal" as you described! Sounds like a blast! From a couple acquaintences I know up here, I get the impression that other Gay Days events are closer to the stereotypical meth-amped circuit events. Too bad. Thanks again, Dennis!

We are straight and we bought before we had a child and didn't plan to necessarily, but now we have child. So that may be different. But I don't think it is really. We have loved the dvc. It really has worked well for us and if we sold right now we would make cash on it. So anyway I just posted because 1. we were at the gay days this year and thought it was great and 2. we bought dvc years ago and we love it and it worked well for us

Equally, Gay Day events and festivities are occuring ALL OVER Orlando, not just WDW parks.. and what WDW is doing is minimal and only "private" like the Beach bash or Mighty Party and even those events will set you back $85 some per person, per event. Furthermore.. based on Dennis' comments, other gay-related acticities available in Orlando are not readily available to him and his partner at this hometown, within a short driving distance like they are in Orlando in relation to WDW. If you had seen (like I did) how much fun Dennis and his partner had on events off-WDW property, you would understand his excitement over this. It is the same excitement I want YOU to experience next year during Gay Days 08. So start saving your plane fare.

Many visits have focused strictly on the park but GAY DAYS is different. Here in CT we don't have an active gay cummunity. Remember in the 80's when EVERYONE went out and had fun? Well ... just as "video killed the radio star" I'd say that the "internet killed the night club experience". When we go to Parliment House, the whole vibe is fanatastic. You really feel like part of a community again. It is a the best. When you visit WDW, don't go for GAY DAYS as it will steal the thunder of those beautiful WDW parks. I totally get it. And don't worry - the parks are looking good and I do like laugh floor. My expectations have been lowered to be a bit more realilistic - I think. I mean (no offense to TDLFAN) but If I see trash on the floor, it doesn't upset me as much. And everything can't be painted at the same time and all the bulbs can't be fixed at the same time. I know he will tell me differently - but I have let it go and made peace with the "upkeep". I do have some issues with MK and how so much more can be done. I have given up expectations for that place (and some other parks) and just focus on what makes me happy - ANIMAL KINGDOM. Hi d-r - Thank you for taking the time to write. And thank you for being "straight but NOT narrow-minded" and sticking up for a community who is missing laws and rights to protect them !! I am so happy to hear great DVC feedback. For years I couldn't believe this was a good deal. And now, it's all I can think about. After doing some reasearch and hearing from great people like you - I will buy in when I have saved up for the initial "buy-in." Everything I have read says DO NOT finance. I have been keeping my eye on the re-sellers websites as well. DVC mailed me a beautiful book that goes over everything and a Saratoga Springs offer. Hi TDLFAN - my buddy - you and GFAN are a big part of WHY we visit Orlando. You two are very good friends. Not fair weather friends at all - we can always count on you to be there even when times are tough. TDLFAN and GFAN are "good people" and a hoot to hang with!!! Hey Kennesaw Tom - I sent you an e-mail from my yahoo account - always good to make new pen pals. << I'm all for a meet. >> A man of little words and obviously up for a good time We are heading out to Providence RI soon for the Pride Festival - can't wait !!! <a href="http://www.prideri.com/" target="_blank">http://www.prideri.com/</a>
