“Patrick, you seem to be saying your "only" problem is with people's overt displays of sexuality in public. Yet, post after post (earlier in the thread) said they saw nothing of the sort on Gay Day. Only one or two posters said they saw anything untoward, with several noting that they typically see more overt displays among straight folks on any given day at DL. So you seem to be complaining about something that didn't even exist.

Unless that's not really your problem.â€

No my source of contention is not overt displays of sexuality (although I do dislike them as a rule) it’s people overtly pushing their sexuality on me my family and children in general!

“ The tshirt that seemed to annoy people the most was the one with the arrow on the back pointing down, that states, Insert Here, or insert "something" here.†Thanks Ed for the heads up! (don’t anyone get excited)

Oh boy am I ignorant! I thought it was only that trite saying about it being good enough for backwoods Britney and the washed up English lady. (Oh wait she’s no lady!) But these new witticism’s deserve accolades for creativity and a level of cerebral fortitude rarely witnessed by the common man and what more can be said about the individual that coined these masterpieces without only stating the obvious? I feel that I must be first to say that this person should be hailed as a modern sage!!! It is truly a shame that this person and people like them weren’t around during the civil rights or suffragette movement’s! Drollery akin to this displayed merely in front of children and unsophisticated nabobs what a waste; imagine what respect and credence it would have brought to the aforementioned movement’s!

And you still wonder why there’s a lack of acceptance-

    Your pal, Patrick

It's called the LAUGHING PLACE, people. Lately, it has been the b!@#^ing place, and I am really tired of it.

I don't mean to sound so high and mighty. I actually love a good debate, and respect people for their convictions, even when (and often especially IF) their opinions differ from mine and we listen to one another. But this has gone beyond that beautiful communication and ability to listen and share, and has gone into ugly. And it is soiling this beautiful place.

Mods, isn't there any way to LOCK posts? I would hate to lose all the wonderful posts on both sides of this issue, but it makes me heartsick to see it just go round and round in frustrating circles.

Please tell me I am not the only one who thinks this? Can we just move on, guys?

Lately? Exactly when in the last 28 days did it change? Just curious.

We're so sorry that you find this thread so heartbreaking and tiring to read. Of course, there's one easy way to spare yourself from such things...

No, I read your posts, and I understand exactly why it still exists.

Some people love the drama, and want to cling to it like a security blanket. They love to feed the fires of arguments, and see what kind of gleefully negative places it can go. I have no respect for those kinds of people, and don't appreciate the "let's get some popcorn, and see how they tear each other apart."
I appreciate the free speech aspect of these boards, and love that we have a venue to voice these kinds of thoughts. But when a thread is circling and circling and no longer moving productively forward, and is just becoming a bashing session, it's time to let it go.

    Get over yourself.

You're still reading and posting in this thread so you must be describing yourself.

You're basically all of the things you mentioned above AND a troll on top of it. Well done you.

As a sister to three gay siblings, I am very interested in hearing constructive discussions on this topic. I kept coming back hoping that it would get back on that track. When I saw to my great dismay it wasn't, that is when I spoke up. I am only coming back now to see if I am the only one who feels this way, and apparently I am not. But still the drama-mongers are loving to find a new pin-cushion (me) to poke at. My suggestion was meant to be constructive and help direct us on a more positive path, leading to understanding and common ground. Because that isn't where this has gone as of late. Sad-so-sad that a call for a little peace is met with rude personal attacks...

Yep same could be said of Jesus but in here we have the new and improved Jesus and he’s letting it all hang out “farrrout mannn do whatever you like God’s cool with it brother!†(or sister I don’t want to be accused of being sexist!)

Who are you the Gore Vidal of LP boards? We all know that old parlor trick of no matter how many times it’s said just don’t get it. That Schick has fur on it it’s so old, give the thread a reread it’s a reoccurring theme.

Anyone interested in seeing some wholesome family values might want to check out the WDW gay day web site pictorials. Little Johnny won’t be ostracized at camp next summer, well at least not for his lackluster chicken fighting skill’s? One shot I’d love to share (but since it’s right before dinner I’ll spare those who haven’t eaten) is this guy in a Speedo by the pool with what appears to be a very small phallic shaped flotation device. Consider little Sally drown proofed after witnessing proper use of this little gadget poolside! Hmmm, I wonder if he got that at the gift shop at the Sheraton or that was a Sharperimage catalog item?
