Good grief, what rot. You know, it's an easy game to claim "distortion" and the like without showing any actual examples. It's like Al Sharpton crying "racism" all the time. I'm a proponent of gay marriage, after earlier in my life opposing it. I'm ashamed I used to. My argument: that it's simply the right thing to do. There's no good reason my wife's sister and her partner should not be granted equal status to my wife and I. They've been married longer than we have. They're one of the most perfectly suited, rock-solid couples I know. It really is "till death do you part" with them. And it's not a choice, they couldn't suddenly decide to become straight if they wanted to, it's part of who they are as individuals. And individuals should be treated equally under the law, and with equal respect and equal dignity. You may not agree with the above points, but it would not be fair to say that I'm arguing for gay marriage based on dismissal, distortion, and demonization.
