To buy new ie Saratoga Springs or resales. Lots to muster through.

But I guess Disney figures that if you've gone to the trouble of going through the presentation, they've almost got you anyway. I'd probably be a member already if it wasn't for the fact that I'd rather buy via resale (both for the price difference and because I'd rather have OKW as my home resort than SSR) but can't figure out how to manage it. I don't own my own home, so using equity's out for me, and the few financing deals for resales I've seen have astronomical interst rates. But going with Disney and their financing plans means paying quite a price premium and ending up with SSR as my home resort. Kinda stuck between a rock and a hard place here. So, HAS anybody heard anything more about a CA DVC resort? I had my hopes up when they built the preview center, but then they opened it and it was a sample of SSR...

Apparently, Disney is going to make the "Official" announcement about the Comporary DVC property on October 1st. To be honest with you I really wouldn't care if SSR was my home resort. Of course my preference would be a home resort elsewhere. My line of thinking is that I only visit DTD once maybe twice per trip. Where as I visit EPCOT daily. As far as I'm concerned EPCOT has the best restaurants ( I know I don't get around to the resorts all that much ). I couldn't handle OKW as its looks like its over the top pink. Sure people from elsewhere in the country ( and perhaps the world ) might enjoy your A-Typical Florida home ( think Golden Girls here ). But I'm completely over the white plastic or bamboo furniture and pink or mint green interiors. So check OKW off the list. OK, I untimately love the Wilderness Lodge Villas!!! But for convience you can't beat Beach Club DVC or Boardwalk DVC. And..... Beach Club has the better pool. So that means Beach Club DVC wins! Oh course if Boardwalk DVCers can use the Beach Club / Yacht Club pool? Then I would opt for the Boardwalk DVC.

And the current Contemporary Resort pool is lacking already. There is no way it can handle 900 more units of people. My idea of a vacation doesn't include a stay at "Co-Op City". http://home.comcast.net/~coopc ity/pictures/my_pix.html
