Anyone remember the Beverly Hillbillies episode where Granny had a cure for the common cold? Most of the episode had several monied interests competing to get her "cure". At the end of the show they revealed the cure - take this herb and that herb, and in 7 to 10 days your cold will be gone!

Here's hoping you all stay flu free for the rest of the season.

I wouldn't be surprised to learn someday, they really are mostly ineffective, and really are soley there for a money making opportunity.

A couple friends were just at WDW and the guy came down with a cold right after his visit. However, I think it might have had something to do with a suppressed immune system at the same time as being exposed to more strains of viruses because he ran the half and the whole-length marathons.

I've gotten a rash on my feet probably about half the visits we've made to WDW. We finally figured out that it happens when we're caught in the rain & I'm wearing flipflops.

Apparently it's the fertilizer that I'm allergic to. As the rain washes the soil onto the walkways, etc, it gets on my feet, especially when it's pouring & the water's running over the top of my shoes. Drainage? What drainage?

A few hours later, it looks like I walked through poison ivy.

This is a great.... I wonder why the last few years I been getting sick at WDW mostly NOT DL - and just last month on the Disney Cruise after a couple days. Now the remote EXCELLENT never thought of that. Will travel with disinfect wipes from now on. Hope this helps.

Hubby got sick after we got home from the cruise..... and although every time you go in the restaurant they give you a wipe... someone coughs and touch the spoons and everything else around the buffet.

GOOD TIPS HERE .. and I take the flu shot.

On the Disney Cruises I do always use the hand wipes they pass out before going into the dining rooms because I realize that in such a closed environment transmission of illness is easier.

In all my years of travels I've just been sick one time. And I'm pretty sure that was not due to something I touched.
