Rather loudly, I might add. I had no trouble hearing the "PSSSST" as my doom buggy came around the corner. (Or maybe it was just a hitchhiking ghost?) It seemed to come from a nozzle near the floor.

To me it smelled like the gingerbread equivalent of the Febreze they squirt you with at Soarin' Over CA. Not real convincing, and quite a bit too strong. But at Christmas, I guess it's the thought that counts.

    <------still misses the cymbal monkeys.

If you go to google images and type in something like "Haunted Mansion Holiday Gingerbread", you'll get a whole bunch of pics of the gingerbread creations from over the years. I found one of the carrousel, in someone's "flickr" album and it said something like "this picture was taken December 19, 2009".

I remember the first 2 years the chef created a duplicate cake model and it could be viewed in the restaurant in New Orleans.(forgot the name) I don't think they do that anymore.

Hey Tash when you go to WDW if you have time check out all the Gingerbread Creations in most of the Deluxe Resorts including the Resort Chef Competition in the upper level of the POLY. All the WDW chefs enter true artistic originality on display. I also remember being surprised to find the Italian Restaurant in Epcot had created my actual favorite. It was on display inside the Tutto Italia Restaurant so now I wonder if all the restaurants in Epcot join in for Gingerbread challenge. It will give me something new to look for this next trip.
