I speak one right now, but I would like to learn another someday. All I'm saying is that if you live in a different country you should at least be able to speak the language of that country.

Just saying that it's easy to SAY something like that, but not as simple putting it into practice. And even those who DO manage to learn are often shunned or not given opportunities because perhaps they look different, or speak with an accent...any number of reasons. So there is good precedent to "stay in the community" too, and it's not as simple as black and white for most.

... and ironically, often by the very people who say "they should learn our language."

Exactly! lol Okay sorry you have a point. Let's leave Clinton out of this. Newt, being from MY state, certainly has his moments, but then don't we all? I can't say that I would vote for him, but vs. Hillary I might.

Gingrich now admits this was "poor word choice" and is doing the rehab for this type of thing- he's been taking spanish. Ay yi yi.

Oh, but but we are only in the 2nd inning. Things have not begun to crank up yet. I didn't think it is possible, but the political gameplaying just keeps getting worse every year.

I wonder if it will get better or worse if we finally get someone not named Cliton or Bush in the White House. Then again, that's not a given either...
