That's what I use. Nothing else works for me. Not even Vaseline.

Lemon Aid? Now that just sounds fun!

<<I've got liquid on both upper and lower lids.>>

I'm impressed! LOL. I don't think I'm coordinated enough to do that!

<<I have never curled my lashes>>

    Lucky!

(okay, I have to go post in the American Idol thread right now cause I just saw something that made me want to GOUGE my eyes out. brb)

Yes! How cool would that be. I used to work with a girl who did that. Her eyes were violet. Kinda weird, kinda cool. Too far out for work but she didn't care, lol.

Urs - I've never met you but I have seen pictures and I think you look very nice!

<<I have an eyelash curler but never remember to use it and honestly... I can't tell a difference when I do remember to use it>>

You must have curly eyelashes to start with then. Lucky! It makes a big difference with me - and the older I get the truer that is! LOL.

I used to have long lashes, but I think that constantly rubbing my eyes (and that one time I accidentally ripped my eyelashes out) has finally taken its toll. lol.

<<I love lipstick - must be my old chula days still with me>>

    LOL!

<<Oh yeah - I wear no face (foundation) type stuff>>

I wish! I didn't think it mattered if I did or not but, sadly, it does. lol.

    <<Thank you, Carmindy!>>

    LOVE her!

Okay, so seriously, how do you guys get the liquid eyeliner on straight? Is there some sort of trick. I can barely get pencil liner on there straight! lol. And is it really that much better than pencil?

Just wanting to clarify that I mean it makes a difference in MY appearance, NOT Lisann's! LOL. Sorry about that Lisann. Eek.

I heard a tip today about getting rid of dark circles/bags and stuff around your eyes - keep a spoon in the frig and use it like a compress when you have the circles/bags. I haven't tried it yet. Be my guinea pig, will ya? There is always cold tea bags and cucumbers...

Hope things get better for you soon.

I just draw a line close to my eye and it usually ends up pretty good. If I go a bit wonky I can just make the line a bit thicker and pretend I meant to do it that way :) The funny thing is, I could NEVER use pencil eyeliner, which is why I attempted liquid in the first place. Until I got my liquid eyeliner less than a year ago I never wore eyeliner because the times I tried it with a pencil I ended up looking awful. So I don't know if it's "better" as such for the average person, but it's definitely better for me in that I can actually apply it!

I can't do it underneath my eye, though, I haven't mastered that one and end up looking like either Captain Jack Sparrow or my 15-year-old Emo niece - I don't really want to achieve either!

Hmmm, perhaps this post is trying to tell me that I'm just not that good with eye makeup ...

Heh, funnily enough that's what I love about Benefit Cosmetics - they're FUN! I love the pretty packaging and the cute names. Half the time I think I mostly buy them cos they look pretty.

To get rid of puffiness just carefully dab some hemmeroid (sp) ointment around the eye. Works wonders! I don't know about dark areas, though.

I use a smoky green or brown pencil liner and line the under lashes. I use black mascara. Right now the liner is something from Sephora and the mascara is Cover Girl. I used to use a very pricey mascara but find that my lashes are "whatever" no matter the price.

A few years ago I went for a makeover and bought every color of shadow and brush that was offered. If I'm going to an "occasion" I'll haul out the eyeshadow, "ecre, cappuccino, creme, smokygreen, antique rose" and 20 steps later I don't look too bad :) I love all those little brushes!

I used liquid eyeliner for a while a couple of years ago. I found out that the secret was a tiny angle brush. After you use the rigid brush that comes with the liner, go over the line with an angle brush. It will even out the liner, and give just a touch of softness to the harsh line.

Perhaps if I were to blend colors. Something about too much of my lid being visible because my eyes are large, I think! Not a good look for me.

When I was younger I went to school to become an Esthetician but never followed much of thier rules to it. Basic stuff yes, but I do my own thing when it comes to myself.

    * Dolly Parton once said "It takes alot of money and time to look this cheap!" I sure love her for that remark. ;)

LOL. I think that's my problem. I lose interest after Step 3!

I checked my mascara and it's Maybelline Intense Volume XXL. It's a microfiber mascara and it has two wands - one to apply the white "prep" voluminizer and the other to apply the actual mascara over the white stuff. Sounds great in theory but, Lord help ya if you don't realize you missed a white spot until the end of the day! (Which for the record I have never done but I have caught it *right* before walking out the door! LOL)

<<. I found out that the secret was a tiny angle brush.>>

Hmmm. Well, I *do* love gadgets so maybe I'll give liquid eyeliner a try!

I'm just afraid my hand will slip & I'll end up looking like Cleopatra... or Amy Winehouse. LOL.
