It really felt like a season finale, and if it's not returning for 4 months, how is it not a season finale? I'm a little concerned that a lot of the storylines that we have been following have been ended, or have been concluded in a way that they will be difficult to pick up in the spring. I'm sure that the Schu and Pillsbury thing will take center stage, along with going to regionals, but a lot of the smaller things seem to have been resolved. It's nice that everybody is telling the truth, but it leaves little room for a continuing storyline through this point. Anybody know if it's being picked up for a second season? I hope so...
Originally Posted By ToonKirby Like I said, this episode was written as the series finale in case it wasn't picked up for the remainder of the first season, thus why some of the story lines were wrapped up. Even so, there is still plenty to mine here, such as the fall-out when the Will/Emma relationship is revealed and what happens once Quinn's baby is born. And there is no doubt that Sue will find some way to get back her job. Plus, we have yet to see the "non school" lives of at least half of the glee club, plenty of possibilities there. It's too soon for news of the second season, although the outlook is very good, especially with the post-"American Idol" slot the rest of the season.

I hope Sue's nice side comes out again, her going to her sister in the hospital was very cute and nice. And I know leave you with my favorite Sue quote "That was more insulting than an Elementary school production of Hair"

I, also, had some issues with the kiss with Emma and Will. But it's more that I have hope for people to work harder on struggling marriages, not that it didn't fit in with the show. In some ways, I felt that they wrapped up too much, but we actually (despite the kiss) still have a married Will, so I don't think that one is really wrapped up. Also ... why would we expect Finn and Quinn to be on any more that one more season? Captain of the football team and head cheerleader should be at least juniors, and even that is stretching it. I guess Finn could flunk one year, given that he has not demonstrated a penchant for academic success. But, all in all, I am seriously enjoying the show. And I'd love to see a Kristin/Idina pairing!

And I've also heard that there is going to be a Lady Gaga song for one of the episodes coming up soon, and the costume designer is freaking out about it. : )

Originally Posted By FerretAfros Anybody catch it? It seemed a little different than the first half of the season, but I'm still excited for next week's episode. The general plot didn't seem to be as clever as the other ones, but I suppose they need to set up the conflicts for the rest of the season, since we weren't left with too much. Several of the one liners were pretty good ("Did you know that dolphins are just gay sharks?"), but overall something felt like it was missing. A lot of the songs were really awkwardly placed too. They all seemed to be "I need to sing a song for the club, so I will sing a song" instead of being more integrated into the plot. They were still relevant to what was going on, but it was just a little more removed than usual. And whoever came up with the idea of Sue doing Vogue is a genius.

Some of the relationships seemed a little different, but I'm hoping that's just setting things up for later on. I'm really looking forward to next week's episode as well, since about 30 of my friends are going to be in it. They're the marching band at the pep rally, and apparently it's a pretty sweet scene! I would have done it, but I was home for Christmas break when they had the rehearsals for it.

Once I'm done watching, it'll be time to take my ipod upstairs, download this episode's songs.
