Though I don't agree, I don't care if someone calls me "god-hating"...but it's interesting that this guy would say such a thing to all the others posting here, none of whom I feel could fairly be accused of such a thing. Just sayin. As for the OT, who cares what Glen Beck or his moronic guests have to say anyway? Personally, watching the right winger noise machine is simple entertainment..nothing more.

I've read all his books and seen him in several interviews. What strikes me about him is that although he's hardcore in his beliefs, he probably often gets mistaken as just another of those neocons, but I think he's far from it. For example, when he talks about the dangers of UBL and how America needs to act in order to protect itself, he really is saying so just because of his beliefs about UBL, and not like the neocons that may agree in general with that but use UBL as a platform to get other things done that they want done (such as invade Iraq). Seeing just the portion of the interview in the link in #1, I can only assume that Scheurer is still very much worried about UBL-sponsored terrorism, and that he said what he said for that reason and for no other reason. But, there seems to be an enormous irony in what he says: He says that he thinks that the only thing that will wake up America and cause them to act is a large weapons attack against the US, and that UBL is the only one capable of pulling off such an attack. The implication is that if UBL doesn't mount such an attack, the US will not react as it should in order to protect itself from terrorism. But, if UBL is the only one potentially capable of such an attack, and he doesn't do so, what exactly and from whom are we not protecting ourselves against?

I mean, we're all here because we like chatting and sharing our opinions, right? We're not here because we're lurkers - that's for sure. So if you take an unpopular position, you're going to have 15 different people telling you why you're wrong. That can be difficult, and I understand that. I really appreciate those thoughtful moderates and conservatives that do stick around. That's a far cry, however, from "god-hating" and "conservative-hating." Josh repeatedly says offensive things like that (apparently under the delusion that he's being polite) and then gets all outraged when people criticize him for it. It's grown tiresome.

Glenn Beck has actually broken down weeping on his show and said, "I'm sorry, I just love my country so much." That doesn't sound like a comedian or an "entertainer" to me (though it was unintentionally hilarious).

I somehow doubt it - something tells me the Beck crowd wouldn't be too pleased with, oh, I don't know...context and facts.
