Thanks for the Wagamama advice. I would be very hapy when it would open here. Salzburg may be too small, but Vienna would be fine.

Dave, if you travel to Munich, you should really consider visiting Nuremberg on the way as well! It is only a 1 hour train ride from Munich - and I would be happy to show you and your family around!!

And I could also help with a lot of tips about Munich, I have lived there for many years.

But then, I visited the Mount Washington Hotel in Bretton Woods in New Hampshire and who would expect that this is the place where the international economic system after 1945 was born with institutions like the IMF and the World Bank...

    Birmingham (in land, but central)
    Harrogate (spa town in Yorkshire)
Newcastle and Liverpool are new on the circuit
And in the past, Blackpool, but after the £14m refurb of the Wintergardens, I think the parties are likely to return. But yes, it used to be big on the LAbour Party agenda - there are a number of huge working class numbers in the region (their traditional base), whereas the Tories often prefer Harrogate and Bournemouth.

The parties tend to try to separate themselves out each year. The challenge is a place with good railway connections, space for large meetings, high security provision, and adequate accommodation. Not many of those in the UK outside of London.

A lot of James Blunt fans on LaughingPlace. To be fair to him I have seen him perform live before in Hong Kong and he wasn't that bad. His music isn't for everyone but he has one or two hits like 1973 which I enjoy. Out of all the acts performing Sunday I would say Will Young is the one I could do without seeing. Love Imelda May and can't wait to see Caro Emerald or Lenny Kravitz perform. With Lionel Richie headlining I would consider it a good day for live music.

To give him some credit, he comes across well in interviews and seems like a nice guy!!!

Off tangent, Dagobert, I thought you might be interested to know that the red Bull office in London has a slide as one of the ways of the staff moving around their office.

That sounds interesting. Just recently I have been to the Red Bull headquarter in Fuschl near Salzburg. It's a big glass palace and looks very interesting.

It would be cool to see the Red Bull Racing factory in Milton Keynes.

Sounds encouraging thanks for the thoughts.

In regards to Blunt I feel if it wasn't for "Your Beautiful" or "Goodbye My Lover" he'd be a much more respected artist. Although its those two songs which made him a name. So its a catch 22 really.

*** As I said above, Wise men is about the only James Blunt song I can manage and that's because it's fun to sing with lots of high notes and quick lines. ***

Wiseman proves he is a very capable song writer. Seeing him live in the past I also know he's quite willing to mock himself and how many view him and his music. So I do have to respect him.

Now Will Young on the other hand I'm not quite sure about. To me he's the guy who beat Gareth Gates on Pop Idol.

*** I have to say, I don't do pop music. Now Download, I wish I had gone to that. ***

I have heard a lot of positive reports about Download from friends. But most people seem to be skipping it now in favour of Sonisphere.

This week I was watching a DVD lecture on ancient Egypt published by The Teaching Co and the professor was saying that for many years you could not touch the Rosetta Stone, for example.

Then a new curator came in, he says, who changed the display and actually wanted the public to be able to touch it.

Anyway, back to reading your interesting trip report.....

Worth an hour wait, in my opinion...
