I would guess that most of DCA's audience has probably never seen it. Kind of like that charming little gem of a film over at the Golden Vine Winery.

Kind of like Lincoln is one part of a larger facility and you can either go see him or not. Have a "welcome center" with all sorts of displays on California history, natural features/geography, etc., and have GD in a theatre (smaller than the current one) within that complex, playing continuously, that people can either go see or not.

I second the statement that Golden Dreams was better before the overly PC version. It was a new direction for Disney and the shock value was something this whole park was supposedly aiming for, but Golden Dreams was the only attraction that came through. Most people say the original "Hands" attraction was supposed to be the American Adventure (which would have been incredible, even if they used the exact same scenes from the movie) but the emphasis on multimedia use seemed more like a Meet the World attraction to me, rather than the "Two Brothers" moments in the American Adventure. An attraction the size of the American Adventure would take up the entire San Fransisco area, and the builidngs would probably have to grow another 8 feet tall if the theater was equal in size to the best attraction in EPCOT, the American Adventure. This park could have greatly benefited from a 45 minute experience in air-conditioned immersive splendor, unfortunately since so few people showed up that first summer, it would have been a strange experience. But, who knows, maybe this attraction would have greatly changed the initial perceptions of the park. DCA was certainly short on CA when it opened. Soarin and Golden Dreams were the only two attractions that really addressed the wonderful theme, which I hope never changes.
