Completely disagree. I enjoyed the film very much, but I do wish there had been more to the presentation than just Whoopi projected into masks a couple times. I tried to see it at least once a visit. I'm looking forward to seeing the new stuff that Disney has in mind, but I will miss Dreams.

Could not disagree more. I think Golden Dreams is a wonderful presentation and I never have a dry eye after viewing it. I will miss it dearly. somehow, I cannot help but feel that a toon displacing this movie is really ripping the heart out of DCA.

The American Adventure is my favorite attraction in all of Walt Disney World, and I like Golden Dreams, so to me, this would have been awesome.

Does anyone know...Are they going to try to make the theater similar to the Little Mermaid venue at WDW Disney Studios?

Does it gloss over a *whole lot* of the problematic history of CA? Oh, you bet. I'm not stupid; I know what went on. But it's not meant to be a History Channel expose. It's purpose, in my opinion, is to very lightly document the positives.

    Call me a Pollyana.

From what I understand, the plan is to do a whole new ride, with your vehicle going above the "water" and then going down below for some scenes recreated from the movie. If it's anything like the 3D animation that they did a couple years back, it will be pretty spectacular!

While I am certain that the Little Mermaid will be fun, I'm continually discouraged by Disney's shift towards pushing their franchises down our throats rather than creating memorable attractions that carry the themes at the parks. Disney is becoming less and less about story telling and more and more about experiential marketing.

I am confused. She is supposed to being playing Califia spirit of California. Shouldn't the spirit of California know everything?

That Golden hands idea sounds like it would of been really cool, but I am sure it got nixed for expenses. DCA has always been the cheap park.
