AND I think Muhammed Ali, Cassius Clay to me, (have you seen the movie Coming to America?) was also at least as much as Jack, an egomaniac...however in boxing you really have to be. You think Tiger will catch Jack and if so, do you think the PGA Championship will become a new Major? I hear something about them moving it to May and trying to force it as a major.

He was on my team so that was a good thing. On the next hole, a par 3, I had a "lucky" shot. The green was surrounded by water on two sides and railroad ties bordered those sides. My tee shot was going right at the pin but landed short...on top of the railroad tie. It bounced at an awkward angle but landed on the green. Two crazy back-to-back shots.

Originally Posted By berol "You think Tiger will catch Jack and if so, do you think the PGA Championship will become a new Major?" The Players' Championship? Since there isn't a governing body declaring what a major is, it's more or less what each organization or person wants to do with it, if they want to treat it the same as the big 4. I wouldn't be surprised if Woods caught Nicklaus cuz he dropped out of college, 2 years of a headstart. I was remembering that last week with the 50th win comparisons, Woods getting there 3 years younger. btw, egomaniac=insecure. I've heard the E-word used for Woods and Garcia, too.

Gratz on 2 back to back shots! You must be living right.

Oh wait, that has nothing to do with it I guess...but she IS hot. Personally I think Tiger takes a far different approach than did Jack. For example: When Tiger won The (British) Open, what did he do? He cried, hugged his caddy and his friend, wouldn' let go of his friend in fact. Tiger plays and runs on a tank full of emotions, and is able to hold himself in such incredible poise when playing all the way to the end when he is on his A game. Jack on the other hand, I think, played with all that EGO, the ol' "I am the shizzle, no one can touch this" attitude. When Jack won, it was like, "Ofcourse I won." Very different in many many ways. It is a very difficult argument to say who is the greatest golfer to ever live...that is a question that won't be answered until Tiger retires. Personally, I think the best golfer is the guy (or gal) that never loses the "fun" of the game. And at the pro level, that is hard to do......unless you are winning.

Wait, the future PGA rookie of the year, Camillo Villegas, he has all the babes around. ........................................ As for The 88th PGA Championship, Mr. Woods will finish in the top 5, but not first, Els will win his 3rd major. Should be a great major because of Ryder Cup points.
