It would be like seeing the Dapper Dans in the Japan pavilion in Epcot. Yah, they're good, but it just doesn't make a whole lot of sense. I guess since it's basically on the parade route they do have a little more flexibility with their bookings, but it's still just a little weird to me.>> My educated/elitist guess: they come cheap.

And you are the one going deaf? I think we all are trying to figure out what's up... I'm camped out on my couch, some mindless show on TV, clutching my TDS maps, pin, guiltily on the internet, and wondering how and when I'm going to be able I'm going to get the heck over to TDS, and SOON.

So there. <<(By the way, does Toyko have napkins and plates with the generic Disney Parks label, or are they more individualized?)>> Nope, TDR has individual plates and cups unique to the resort (although they weren't anything special) ... but some items they go more all out on (like having merchandise bags themed to this year's holiday season -- and this year's only).

I hope leemac will chime in here. Although there may be a fixed amount of capital available for spending each year, I would think that DVC would be a net positive for cash flow (with the possible exception of a spike every now and then during a construction spike, but certainly a net positive over any small number of years). And, this assumes the ability for purchases financing to be available from third parties. If DVC sales were not an annual cash flow positive item, what would their purpose be? Disney certainly isn't getting rich off of annual maintenance fees.

The cars are noisy and the smell of burnt rubber is not terribly magical or pleasant. Thank God, I will never have to see this show again.<<< Lol, to me LMA is one of Disney's finest creations in the last 15 years (yes the concept is that old, it opened in Paris 9 years ago, and I must have seen it 40 times or so now and still love it). And yes, Osborne lights are first class (as is the Animation Academy - another attraction that has been at DLP for nearly 9 years)

It is my wife's fav attraction at DHS.

Disney used to be about a lot of Edutainment and there is less and less of it. Dinos don't still walk the earth, but I still love attempts to make us better understand what they were like.

But overall I love the GMR. A little TLC and some tweaking of a Haunted Mansion standard would be great though. And despite it's flaws, the ability to see Casablanca, Singing in the Rain, the Gangster Scene, Mary Poppins and the land of Oz fully realised makes me feel great and deserves some love.

When I saw them last (and I thought they were brilliant btw, a real highpoint for WDW) they were in the backlot and started with "trimming up" plants before playing. It made total sense, seems they dropped the conceit with the 6 Flagging of the parks?

Making do with DLP, Europa Park, Phantasialand, and Eftling this year instead.
