My other grandpa was also just diagnosed with early alzheimer's. And he's the grandpa we thought was sharpest and in the best shape! (Your Grandpa's, too!~What a shame! I have a son with Tourette's and we see a lot of Parkinson's patients in the neurologists' office when we go, they seem to have some better medications now than before.From what I've seen with movement disorders, it seems like in the beginning, the meds work well and then the patient kind of gets used to it and needs a stronger doseage. Then they have to try something new or add different meds to go along with what they are already taking. I hope your Grandad will get the meds that work for him and help right away.

As far as the parkinson's goes, my gran was diagnosed with it last year, having been ill for several months, once she got onto the correct medications the improvement was marked, I hope the same will be true for you. {{{hugs}}}

If you need to talk or anything at all, you know I am just an email away. (((((hugs))))

My mom said with all of these surgeries they aren't closing her up every time which will make it easier to do it bedside, as long as she's not in too much pain. So continued happy thoughts and prayers would be great!
