It is the closest thing to EPCOT Center that they have done in Epcot, however. WOM and TT could have existed side by side, easily...but TT does bring and satisfy a needed demographic, I give it that. Pooh, and Toad...again, didn't need to kill one to have the other. It looses out there....TDO was killing the parks, even then. But it is an OK ride, I agree. It's fun.

You don't tear things down to put things in....It causes capacity issues. Which leads to a "Expansion" 20 years late, with less than interesting "attractions". Sound familiar?

Nothing is/was on the level of the Adventurers Club. As to why Martin and Lee waste their time and knowledge on the undeserving, we were all guilty of it at one time. It's hard to sever ties. But once you do, life is much simpler/better/less wasted time.

It was supposedly "loaded with all kinds of rare footage about Disney's World's Fair attractions." What it is is a fairly bad video transfer of the 1964 TV broadcast "Disneyland Goes to the World's Fair," which is available in a crisp, Disney authorized DVD on the Treasures release "Disneyland: Secrets, Stories & Magic." Copying and selling the copyrighted works of others is stealing. Period.

I don't think if they did it they would make very much money. Being Disney, you know that the production values would have to be pretty good, and they would want decent recordings of the attractions. I would hope that they had the forsight to make high quality films of each attraction when it opened, but I really doubt that's the case, given the lack of information about certain areas of the park and periods of time. In addition, they would probably want to load it down with bonus features, which I love, but add a lot to the cost. Then, you have to consider the buyers. While people like us would love some of these, there really isn't that big of a market for old videos of attractions and parades. Yah, people miss them, but few day visitors are going to pay $20 or more for a recording of something they saw 20+ years ago. There just isn't that big of a demand for it. When you compare the cost and audience with something like another release of Cinderella, there's just no comparison. Even the Walt Disney Treasures, which are high quality with limited releases (and higher prices) have some trouble selling. While I wouldn't be shocked to see some parts of attractions show up in that format, I doubt we'll ever get an officially sanctioned extinct attraction release.

Now I don't know how well it would translate into success for extinct attraction DVDs, but something tells me they would be pretty popular. Especially if there was say one DVD per park detailing the old, classic attractions.

It's not a crime to visit both WDW Magic, and LP. There are really nice, and knowledgeable people at both sites. I also wish we could get Lee MacDonald to post more over here in the WDW section. It makes for a more lively site when you have active members posting. I have seen an improvement here of late. Even with it being so dead at WDW with very little to discuss.

Maybe we can lure him over here with some Lost threads...or AC.
