They are beautiful. I just never had the room for them and then there were so many ... it became like pins ... how many do you make before you're devaluing the product (we could talk about theme parks here too!)?

He's think Disney should send him twenty Disney Dollars!

I wonder if Disney ever sold ANY of these PoC pieces by the desperation pricing they sold them for. $10 is less than the price of most pins these days.

    <<We got the Toad pieces at DL's Company D for $20 each.>>

I must have missed them ... or they were sold off very quickly. Were they just at DL?

<<I have those, and about a half dozen other pieces as gifts through the years from my Mom. She got them when the last of the Galleries closed and they were selling them at 75% off + her employee discount. I think she has finally given all she had to me.

While I like them, I always thought regular price was too expensive. >>

Me too. I'd say 'average' price for a WDCC piece has steadily been in the $100-200 range with some going above (the really big ones had really big pricetags).

As much as I like them, I'm very glad I didn't start buying them.

I don't remember what year, maybe 2004. But they did it at the same time as the NFFC convention. The word got out, and any collector who could get into Company D, got into Company D and then they sold very quickly. And then you could find them on sale day for more than $20. It was only DL, as they were DL exclusives.

But that tends to be the way Disney does business. They did the same thing with watches as well as the Disney Store which opened in every mall across America which made it less than special.

    Esmeralda in red
    Clopin
Quasimodo as the King of Fools
The Old Mill (wow, is that nice)
    Several Nemo pieces
The Ugly Duckling with a swan
Tiger Lilly in Hook's boat (another great one)
The Singing Harp (always had a weakness for this one--maybe if it drops lower)
    Tarzan vs. Sabor
    Cinderella and Prince Charming wedding
    Snow White and Prince wedding
    Chicken Little
    Dot
    Lilo Halloween
Ludwig Von Drake (this one is awesome!!)
    Clarabelle as a cheerleader

I own the Two Caballeros, which I bought on clearance, Timon, who was a gift, and Basil and Dawson, for whom I paid full price, and worth every penny.

I always wanted the Brer Rabbit and some of the Jungle Book pieces. And, of course, the ridiculously expensive Slue Foot Sue.

Besides the spot-on sculpts, I was always impressed with the more unusual characters when they were avaialable.

Certainly some of those pieces are very nice.

I have the Hunchback set and Zero (signed by the sculptor). My mum and sister also have a few pieces that they won. I have a Nanny from 101 Dalmatians that I won that is still in the box!

My current quest is to find the really old Hop Low from Fantasia that my sister fell in love with recently!!!

The price tags all had "box in back" written on them.
