Ain't it the truth. TV folks must be real conflicted about Popeye. On the one hand, he promotes a good vegetarian message. On the other, he's violent. Smoking a pipe is probably why you don't see him on TV anymore.

I don't think a historical photo should ever be altered, unless the subject and the photographer give their permission. Kids are more influenced by their current role models than historical figures.
