Take Monsters ... add in Stitch ... and you have two horrible attractions that cost untold millions and will likely sit for years. WDI needs a good house-cleaning ... it is ridiculous how it is allowed to fail creatively so often while wasting the company's money.

So, yeah, it's got repeatability, but if somebody goes in and it's on a really awful show, why would they go back?

I would agree with the whole interactive trend -- be it rides where you shoot things and keep score [Buzz Lightyear], to movies that spit and throw things at you [Tough to Be a Bug],to parades where one has to practically fill one's pants to keep up with the over-the-top energy level [Block Party Bash]. Here and there, it's okay to participate, but I also enjoy the passivity of 'it's a small world' and 'Haunted Mansion.'

There comes a point where you just want to rest and have something calming happen. I think that's why It's a Small world and the other dark rides are so popular...you can just watch the scenery. If everything becomes so interactive you're going to have a lot of agitated and exciteable guests because they have to ramp up the engery just to go on rides. Disney needs a balance.

You were in a small group in a Q&A session with him. Being in a small group made the attraction intimate and more magical, it was really like Crush is behind the glass. That and the interactivity was great since he picked us out in the audience and answered back. With MI, your in a large room where it's more like your watching something. There just is no real connection from the characters to the audience except laughter. So if not many people are laughing, the show will hit a brick wall...HARD.

Lasseter & Catmull did what they could to salvage it but have already made it clear that if it tanks it won't be the new management team's fault. They don't need this bad monsters inc. attraction on top of that.

We all love WDW and Disney, but they can miss on some things just like anyone else. If it is that bad I hope they do exactly as you stat, get out the scratch pad and start over...don't open anything that is a mess.
