I went with my g/f last night. It was EXTREMELY CROWDED! It was worse than a saturday in the summer. It was still fun though. Lots of dancing and we were able to get on mansion and splash but that was it. we waited almost 30 mins just to get food at pizza port. I went to mine last year and it was about half the crowd and we were able to get on many rides. I do hope that DrFl had fun though. It really is a different experience.

One boy I talked to said he went on all the rides he wanted to, Space Mountain being the longest wait at about 90 minutes. Cal Adv wasn't crowded at all and the kids were able to ride Tower and Screamin' multiple times. I didn't hear any complaints from the students, everyone had a blast. And I was very pleased that they had plenty of Grad Nite merchandise this time (they sold out of everything last year). As far as food goes, we feed our kids on the way to Anaheim, they get a dinner voucher for Cal Adv, we feed them a continental breakfast when they get back to the bus, then stop in Tracy for lunch....our kids get plenty of food and really don't need to purchase anything but drinks while at Disneyland.

SuzieQ, why don't you chaperone with me next year? Then you can find out for yourself. The massages for the chaperones are wonderful. And you get a character drawing of your choice from a real Disney artist. Let me know if you want to go....I start signing kids up at walk thru, which is about 5 or 6 weeks.

I don't know why our kids had so little time there - 6 hours, I think. They didn't have the DCA option but still arrived after DL was in full swing, hence the 3 hour wait for Space. DrFL said the lines for Space and Indy were so long, it left the rest of the lines relatively short.

Apparently the number of schools/students signed up for the different nights varies from one year to the next. I'm sure it's always fun tho!

And we give them all pillows with special commemorative screenprinted pillowcases as a gift for the bus ride home.

This year I had 142 kids (3 buses). That's a far cry from the first year with only 39 kids. And not one single disciplinary problem.

It's alot of work, but so worth it. Our school district has no interest in offering this to the kids, so I'm glad to do it.

boyumz, too bad more schools don't do it your way...if you ever need a pair of Authentic Transplanted Arizonans (Vintage Baby Boomer Edition) to help chaperone, let us know. :)
