I plan on hitting them all before the end of the year ... but you really should try and travel ASAP. I don't want to sound fatalistic (although I have recently been to a few too many funerals), but you have no clue what the future holds.

If I could get on a flight for Tokyo (or any of a few hundred destinations) this minute, I'd do so.

Not at all. The fit isn't natural. Pixar is (no matter what some fanbois say). Muppets too. Indy and Star Wars to a great degree.

    But Marvel.

The look, feel, vibe is just so off.

You can do kewl things with them. Look at the old Disney and More Blog for artwork for the Marvel Park that was supposed to be built in Dubai (it apparently has been killed, as it should have, although I haven't heard the trusted Leemac talk about it of late ... bloke is probably drinking $400 bottles of wine on his Disney account at Napa Rose! :) ) ... but I digressed to take a shot at a bud ... the Dubai park had some very amazing looking art and attractions. I wonder if those rights fall to Disney or not.

But ... as cool as they looked, they absolutely didn't look like they could ever fit in a MK park without making it look Six`Flags like (again, weakest area of IOA aesteticically speaking is Super Hero Island). I don't see how Disney can 'fix' that in Shanghai.

Trust me. I'm in the midst of a banking nightmare, so I understand.

BTW, if you wish to discuss those parks (or anything else for that matter), just ask EE how to contact me (privately, please, as we Spirits are very shy!)

They can't. I know this is going to be a bad analogy, but it's like Mickey Mouse walking around in universal studios. It doesn't fit. sorry. Idc what kind of controversy that starts

That's such an easy fix though. They really dropped the ball on that one.

    THANK YOU.

I'd been waiting for a post like that.

The fact that Disney has to borrow other stories to make their parks better isn't a good thing, unless it's for the studios, and especially bad for something of their own creation, like EPCOT and MK.

That and they are obviously with live entertainment at the parks and are puffing for their own jobs.

Actually the entertainment division has absolutely nothing to do with spieling attractions. It's Ops.

Who is pining for more stage plays at the parks?

And why do you think people go to them to begin with?

Who are you talking about? Someone from the LP, perhaps?

Skip, unless I am totally misreading Manny's post (and I don't think I am at all), I think there's a big subtext to what he is saying that has nothing to do with the above ... but let's see what he sez.

As much as I really like Peanuts for instance- also don't want them in MK or AK etc...if Disney was ever lucky enough to acquire them

---- buzzz-- wrong on both counts.
I likely have been going to theme parks since before you were born and my entire family loves live entertainment when there. Heck, I used to love Rocky and Bullwinkle show at Uni.

and no, I amnot an actor, corporate xec for longer than I care to count and live shows are equally as good or better a diversion than a roller coaster..

WDW's best attraction ( IMHO) are those which heavily incorporate AI's - and what are they copying - live action

That he has VERY good taste in quality TV.

When Jamie Dimon lets me touch my funds, maybe I will ... until then I barely afford to consume the above.

Oh, and I'll leave another Dalmatians post sitting on the table for EE ... wanna bet he blows it like a fanboi at an Imagineering party?
