Obviously, the quality of the tomato matters a great deal. But if you put a homegrown tomato in the hands of someone who knows how to make a good cornmeal/buttermilk batter with just the right mix of black pepper and cayenne, and knows enough to not over-fry them... You got yourself a little slice of Heaven, right there.

As for BBQ, why can't Disney build a BBQ pit outside the restaurant next to the SOC queue? Wouldn't that be the best way to get people to come in and eat as they stand in line for SOC? Knotts has always had a BBQ pit.

Originally Posted By Dr Hans Reinhardt "The walk up at Knotts is pretty good." "The BBQ at Flame Tree BBQ in the Animal Kingdom gets excellent reviews." I stand corrected, I guess. Well prepared authentic BBQ is amazing. However my experience with most commercial BBQ establishments has been that the meat is over cooked leaving it dry and chewy like wood trimmings. Or good meat isn't used so all you taste is smoke and sauce. Has anyone here tried Big Thunder BBQ? It definitely LOOKS tasty. http://tinyurl.com/okhjjh2
