I think part of it is that women want to look sexy if they're going to a party with other adults (men)...but I think that's only part of the reason. The pornification of America continues. After making my daughter's cute costume this year (White Rabbit), I am thinking of making the same pattern, altered as a ringmaster. Kinda sexy but with my lady bits fully covered. I'll get to wear a petticoat AND I get a whip! Woo! ;-)

There are some racey costumes out there, but I live in the land where Benny Hill came from and topless women are on page 3 of the working class newspaper everday. And the Uk is more prudish than mainland Europe (though being a San Francisican, that was not surprise either). Adults are only just now starting to dress up. Knowing my luck, we won't get to slutty costumes until I would need viagra to help too.

I might even treat myself to some yellow flats and get some white gloves. It's important to have costumes on hand; you just never know when you'll need one. LOL

Am going to make one for my friend who confessed to playing Little House on the Prairie when she was a kid.
