Especially since ToT isn't based on a specific TZ episode. Also, I remember taking a tour of WDI in the early 90s when the attraction was being developed. At the time, they were still working out the deal with CBS and the estate of Rod Serling and they weren't 100% sure that is was going to pan out, so they had a backup plan to just build the ride as the "Hollywood Horror Hotel", with not TZ tie in. Of course, they never had to do that.

We talk all the time about not buying the storyline in movies, because it's too implausible or it has too many plot holes or they just don't give us any reason to care. I would have less of a problem with it if it weren't tied in with the Twilight Zone, complete with bogus Rod Serling.
