In fact, I can just imagine the guitar riff working along with the drop sequence in a cool way if they played it just right. In fact, it'd work even BETTER in Orlando where they could re-imagine the tower as "Hotel California" and work the story in with RnRC and call the street "Screw Hollywood THIS HERE'S ROCK & ROLL!", and turn that crappy-assed fantasmic-lite into a Pink Floyd show. Hell, that's a hell of a lot better than stupid Guardians of the Galaxy (SERIOUSLY guys!?), am I right!?

It's a good thing there is a ignore feature here. I've listened to your garbage for sixteen years. Now I don't need too anymore. Welcome to the list.
No, it's real. At least for the time being. Hopefully, once they get their design flushed out and see the whole thing in context of Hollywood Land, they'll shut it down.
Apparently so. From the responses I've read, it's about 80% negative. Sure, DisneyCorp wants to get their new expensive IPs into the parks, but there are a lot better locations to do it in. Apparently they are going to have a sort of Marvel Mini-Land behind ToT. But as the ToT entrance is on the north side facing the Hyperion Theater, it seems to be a bad location to start with.
It's official! Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: BREAKOUT! Coming to Disney California Adventure Park Summer 2017 Guardians of the Galaxy to Breakout at Disney California Adventure Park - The Walt Disney Company I don't know what to think about that. While the concept art doesn't look so bad, I just don't want to lose the current ToT. It's a perfect attraction. I love the Guardians, but they deserve someting new. Only Joe Rohde gives me some hope.
Based on what Joe Rohde said, it sounds like the ToT changes are simply the first step in created a whole new Marvel Universe in that area of the park. I bet the parking lot behind it gets added into this concept. Possibly Bugs Land too. We have always wondered how Marvel was going to get largely incorporated into the parks.....I think we have a good idea now.
