I might take my watch off. That might not sound like much, unless you have experienced the surprising attractiveness - indeed one is tempted to say the Erotic Splendor - that is my left wrist.
I really love how they couldn't even wait until January to start deconstructing it. I wonder why they're even bothering to keep it open till then- oh, wait!! I know! They are deliberately taking advantage of people loving the Tower, so they are marketing the hell out of the fact that they are closing it to get even more people into the park to ride it one last time. Very clever, indeed. Not to mention very greedy, selfish, sneaky, cruel and manipulative. Well, DCA is getting money out of me only one final time. I will never go to that park again, and they have forever lost my respect. I hope they end up eating this for years to come. This new ride is going to be popular for only a few months, a year at the most. But then it's going to fade away into nothing, and all we'll have left is a butt-ugly building housing a lame-duck representation of a milked-out franchise. They suck.
At today's Destination D event at WDW Bob Chapek, WDP&R chairman, said that WDW's tower will stay Marvel free.
However Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem will be taking over the Rock'n Rollercoaster. Can you picture that?
That's encouraging, but Disney also had customer service reps telling people that GOTG wasn't coming to the DCA Tower until one day they announced that it was. I think it's a good sign that a high-profile official is saying it, but it still doesn't mean that they won't have a "change of plans" a few weeks from now
Did he say Marvel free or GOTG free? The way they word things might very well be that if he said GOTG the tower could end up being another Marvel IP. If he said Marvel free than that could still mean it can be any other IP they own Imagine if they revived the Roger Rabbit brand and turned it I to some crazy toon drop ride. LOL
I've heard that this may be exactly what they're considering. Dr Strange is supposed to be one of the Marvel properties that WDW can use and could be a more logical fit than GOTG for a variety of reasons. I hope they don't change it though Remember when there was supposed to be a bunch of Roger Rabbit attractions in the park? Although it's certainly a dated franchise, I have to think that having them would have avoided many of the park's current issues
'Toon Town Transit' was an idea that was considered - kind of a simulator attraction with a wacky ride through Toon Town And then 'Baby Herman's Baby Buggy' a dark ride which had guests riding in baby buggy vehicles that were suspended a la 'Peter Pan's Flight' That was 25 years ago
