The same thing happened to my sister, and it was quite serious. She was in the hospital for a couple of weeks, and I was afraid for a while she might not make it.

By way of explanation, I have a very close friend who has been through multiple health crises (and close to death a couple of times just in the past year) and his sense of humor about the whole thing tends to rub off on me. That was an example of it. I should keep in mind not everyone is as nuts as he is.

He wasn't satisfied and ordered CAT scan, which confirmed that I had appendicitis. It was removed without incident.
