I know my friend the other day was saying the little things in life, like going for a walk, while seemingly inconsequential, are, after all, what brings us happiness in life. She's been on a world cruise and believe me, that made her happy but her point is that from day to day we have to find things that make us happy in the here-and-now.

Nicely put, TINK-MOBILE. Yes, we need to focus on what brings true happiness. I am re-reading "The Purpose-Drive Life." We studied it a while ago in Bible study. It puts God back into the equation of personal happiness.

I find that spending time laughing with my friends is the thing that brings me the most joy. Up until a few years ago, I was pretty isolated so it feels wonderful to have the opportunity.

I have also found that my set point of happiness is much higher when I eat better and take better care of myself. I think that's an important element that we sometimes forget.

I'm not sure how that would go if something REALLY tragic was to happen to me (I've been pretty lucky so far in that respect).
