But that just my opinion! <<< HM does not fit in Fantasy Land IMO>>> I think it kind of depends on what time of the year you visit. The Haunted Mansion Holiday overlay with Jack Skellington fits the Fantasyland theme perfectly. <<< You must know that Tokyo Dis. Res. has several offerings not found elsewhere, right? And some of the attractions(in ride form) that are thought to be replicas from other parks are actually quite unique in Tokyo like: Splash Mnt. Pooh, BTMRR, Pooh(obviously), ToT and IJ. >>> I love a lot of the TDR attractions and some of the versions are the very best. Tokyo has in my opinion the best POTC attraction, due to its layout, as its a shorter version of the original. Splash is another favourite and you can't knock Pooh. I have no problem with people visiting the Resort to just ride the attractions, but I think by doing this your kind of taking away from the experience by not watching some of the fine entertainment on offer like Mythica. <<< and some like Mr. X go for all the Fantasy Land rides.... >>> Anyone care to give me a bit of backstory to the joke here.

I'll grant you this, before Hunny Hunt and DisneySea, there would've been very little reason for an attractions fan to bother with TDL if they didn't care about shows and characters.

It's essentially the same as Florida, but looks great in Florida up on a spooky hill near a rolling river...at TDL it just looks bizarre. Imagine Space Mountain in Frontierland or maybe the Haunted Mansion facade in Tomorrowland (pretty much the only way it could be worse lol). That's where I'm coming from. Others have said it doesn't bother them though, so maybe it's just me. I agree with Gurgi that a medieval style building would've worked much better.
