Happy, Happy Birthday to someone who informs the Disney threads, warms Community, and causes me to stop and consider in World Events. (DARN you! You're one of the primary reasons I can't just dismiss religion and be done with it!) I hope you've had a fabulous day. I truly hope you feel some sense of reward for being as wonderful as you are to the people around you. I sincerely hope this year will be very peaceful, contented, and joy-filled for you.

It really was a wonderful day - actually two wonderful days - last night my office mates had a party for me at one of their homes on Balboa Island. We had handmade bbq chicken pizza and spinach salad and, because it was Balboa Island and I am a huge fan of "Arrested Development" we had frozen bananas instead of cake. It was a hoot. This morning DlandDug greeted me with two great gifts - the complete series of Arrested Development (see above) and a telescope - something I've wanted for some time since we have a really wonderful view of the evening sky from our yard. Now I have to figure out how to use it, and which constellation is which. My very gifted MIL made me two wonderful Christmas quilted pieces - a blue Santa (I collect them) and a neat abstract snowman hanging. Very neat. My boss took me to lunch and my office mates bestowed other gifts on me - Starbucks card, a book on constellations (how did she know?) and a lovely blue silk box. This evening DD and Dug and I went to Disneyland and had dinner at Cafe D'Orleans and rode on Indy (which went offline while we were on it, leaving us stranded for about 15 minutes in the ride - -and you know as a Disney geek that is one of life's great pleasures) And one of the best things about the day - DS was allowed to call home from his "outdoor education" camp where he has been all week. When he gets home on Friday we are going to celebrate some more. So growing a bit older isn't so bad when it is accompanyed by wonderful, thoughtful people like yourselves and the other dear people around me. I consider myself very blessed.
