I'm sure there are plenty of folks on that site with experience/advice/price guesstimates.

I still need to check the underside of my top (the top didn't seem to have any wear marks, which is good). I don't go onto AFM too much anymore, I am usually on TheMustangForums, CA-Mustangs or a new one MidValleyMustangs which is a group of us in the Central Valley... So, I keep quite busy with those 3! LOL!

Not enough to go around. :-(

I see quite a few on the highway out here, always enjoy looking at them. The GTs are my fave to look at, and anything with a good color, or just white I like. The thing is, what I don't understand is why some folks leave the top up going down the highway or even on the street, when it's a nice day out. But, I've never driven a convertible (practice lessons on only 2 car models with family members), nor owned a vehicle so I wouldn't know what a driver is thinking in that scenario. I had a neighbor once, who had Mustang convertible (may still have it too), the previous generation model. I ran into her in the leasing office once at my apartments. Her hair - well, let's just say she and I started talking and she told me since she's gotten the convertible her hair has looked a lot different (laughing) - then added it's been worth it. So I assume more custom kits are out by now like the Boss? Mach? Eleanor? Honestly, I have absolutely no idea, just throwing out names I've seen of all those custom models from that one website we were looking at few years ago. I can't seem to find the exact same area on that site (AllFordMustangs.com), but I do have the photos still saved on my pc. These however, I thought would be worth sharing: http://www.allfordmustangs.com /Detailed/159.shtml I wonder which California beach that is though.

If I am going from store to store or short distances, it's not worth it to drop the top. Or if is windy (the '05+ Mustangs actually are designed well that it usually isn't too windy while driving with the top down unless it is windy in general)... Also, if I am going to be driving fast on the freeway and/or a long distance (a couple hours), I like to leave the top up... If I plan on talking to someone on the phone, I also leave the top up since it's hard to talk on the phone on the freeway going 80+ with the top down (but I have done it!)... The Boss and Mach Mustang's are not kits, but *actual* Mustangs from the past. These Mustangs are like the Shelby or California Special, where they get an engine tweak and special badges/striping/accessories/bumpers, etc... And they are all done through Ford... The Eleanor kit is a kit and yes, there are quite a few out now, none of which really look all that great IMO... A lot of people have even swapped out their front ends so that it looks like the Shelby Cobra GT500... But to me, the kits usually look too 'tacked on' for my taste... As for the hood, I am looking at doing the Ram Air Shaker system, so will probably keep the stock hood for that... Although, there are a few hoods out there that I really like... Since I can't afford either right now, it'll be a while before I decide...
