Or at least if they really mean it, they still like you. A bunch. Why wouldn’t they? You’re redheaded. And hot. So come say hi!! If you don’t I’ll have to fly out to Vegas again and my wife will think I’m really weird and so will you. So there. ;-)

Some of you know I turned 50 on Tuesday... HAD to be at my Happy Kid Place in Anaheim! We arrived on Monday morning and stayed at the Grand Californian - where we were also named the "Magical Moment Family" for that day! They presented us with balloons, a Mickey plush, autographed photo of Mickey and Minnie, and a certificate proclaiming the event and took our photo. Linda (a most FABulous cast member) at the registration desk made up a birthday button for me for the next day (I only wore it on Tuesday and included the "50th"... I figured why not declare it, ya know? *L* Mr. Alice requested the special turndown service with rose petals and it was wonderful AND funny at the same time. Though he'd told them it was for my birthday, the housekeepers left us two Happy Anniversary buttons and a printed sign that said "Happy Honeymoon." *LOL* The parks were jam packed, which we expected - Spring Break and all. Our nephew met us at the hotel right after check-in and we made a point of visiting attractions he hadn't seen during our visit in December. As usual, Ross was a blast! We called it an early night (we'd left LV at 5 a.m.) and watched - and listened to - "Remember" from the hotel (had a DTD View room). On Tuesday, Mr. Alice and I made a point of getting FastPasses for Space, Soaring and Indy. We took it slow that day - the parks seemed even busier than Monday. My birthday dinner was originally planned (Mr. Alice made the reservations three months in advance as a surprise) for Napa Rose. It would have been our first time dining there. Unfortunately, two weeks before our arrival, Disney called and told us that someone booked the entire restaurant for the 18th. We didn't want to do it on Monday - that wasn't my birthday, so we asked them to make reservations for Ralph Brennan's on the balcony. As always, the Jazz Kitchen was fun and delicious. Early in our meal, a gorgeous bouquet of roses was delivered to our table - an amazing surprise Mr. Alice arranged through Disney. The roses were unbelievably nice. They survived our entire vacation, but became "tired" today on our drive home. We closed Disneyland on Tuesday night and were able to catch all kinds of attractions in the December-style walk-on mode we're used to. On Wednesday morning, we left Anaheim and took the brief drive to Huntington Beach and the Hyatt Regency. Ohmigoodness! We had a Regency Club King with a so-called "partial" ocean view. It was a beautiful suite, and from the balcony, we had a view of the pool AND an absolutely awesome view of the ocean. Definitely the nicest hotel room I have EVER enjoyed. The Regency Club is a Disney concierge level-type ammenity, but the price difference from a regular room isn't NEARLY as much. We paid alot less per night at the Hyatt than at the GC (and that reservation wasn't concierge-level). The food and beverages were excellent. The two mornings we at breakfast "in," we enjoyed toasted bagels with lox, cream cheese, capers, onion and tomato, fruit and juices. One evening we went for the hot appetizers, veggies with dips, breads and cold cuts. And the evening desserts were delish, too! Thursday was my spa day... 80 minute massage and an 80 minute facial... Awwwwwwwww... Pampering! The entire property is just amazing... Huge and every inch is landscaped and boasts neat little romantic hideaways on the grounds. I can't remember the last time we were so completely relaxed. One can't help but find themselves in that state at that location. On Friday we went walking and wading in the ocean after breakfast on Huntington Beach's Main St. (The Sugar Shack... good stuff!) And Friday evening we joined my mom and dad at Tony's on the Redondo Beach Pier. They drove down from Crestline to celebrate the birth of their daughter and enjoy a little vacation of their own. And now we're ALMOST back to the "real world." We pick the "babies" up from boarding at the vet on Monday (they'll have staff on-hand tomorrow to tend to the animals, but the office is closed to the public for Easter) and then I go back to work on Tuesday. Turning 50 was made easy and perfect thanks to my sweet love, Mr. Alice.
