They said that once it gets to that stage its very, very serious. So they send me monthly newsletters saying how important it is to look out for earlier signs, such as stiff neck, cold hands and feet, sensitivity to bright light, often vomiting etc. My aunty said it felt like someone was tickling her brain, a deep itch she couldnt reach, and intene pain. She collapsed at home and was in hospital under sedation for three days, she was thrashing about hitting people trying to scratch the itch. When she came out of hospital she had problems walking for a few months, her legs felt weak, and her hearing was affected. But her husband said she was very lucky. Ok, I'll stop rambling now....sorry.
